My sister is making my wedding invitations for me which is very kind of her and she is earning many brownie points for it. Unfortunately she just spent most of them!!! She left me a facebook post late at night telling me that my Dad's new girlfriend's children (2 year old twin boys) had ruined them all!!! I spent the whole night panicking about how we were going to afford to replace them and when I called her in the morning she was still in bed. It was lunchtime before I got hold of her when she casually announced that it was all a joke.
Does ANYBODY think that is funny? Clearly I am not exercising my Bridezilla muscle appropriately otherwise people would be too scared to pull stunts like that! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

OMG I was seriously worried for you then and then it was apparently a joke! SOOOOO not funny! You should definately go "bridezilla" on her a***!

I think that although in a bride's point of view its not funny from her side it probably seemed to be
Don't think she's deliberately set out to cause you that much distress, she clearly didn't think it through fully.

Definately tell her you did not find it funny and she won't do it again, I'm sure she didn't mean to upset you tho!
i kno that just now it seems tasteless, but i have to say as a bit of joker myself i would maybe do something along those lines if it was someone who knew me well enough that got my sense of humor...sorry! :S

Lol mrsc, I do think Zoe's right though, if you let her know that jokes about the wedding are, seriously, not a good idea then you may have a bit of peace for the next 6 months!

I can kind of see a bit why she thought it was funny but everybody knows brides can be a bit high strung and she should have known better. I'm cashing in on the guilt to get her to finish the rest of the invites quicker, and saving up a slap round the head for when I see her next!

Well she certainly deserves it!

not funny ...

Oh my goodness, I nearly started panicking for you there- so not funny! Why did she wait so long to tell you she was kidding? My sister/s, if they made that joke, would watch me freak out for a couple of minutes before going "only joking!"
The "joke", mildly amusing. The long gap between said joke and admittance that it was a joke, not funny at all
On the bright side, at least the invites are alright
CommentAuthorKayteeG
I can find a funny side to jokes like that if they are done in good spirit and not left for too long, but that just wouldn't amuse me at all - just a bit mean!

Definitely tell her it's not funny, and definitely start flexing your Bridezilla muscle a bit more!!! At the request of my MOH i've started ending my wedding-related texts with "love bridezilla". Haha.
