Joanna - Ive looked at London and Hyde Park looks amazing in the winter but it is soooooooooo expensive!
The hotels cost a fortune to book! Unless you know of any cheaper hotels or deals?
Thank you hunni :)

Our's will be in November too and we are going to the lake district!
Theres loads of places you could go, London, The Norfolk broads, Scotland, Centre parks. Pop into a travel agent to get an idea and then look online for deals

Places like park resorts are opening now during the winter months! Weve been looking into goin back to Devon. We loved it there, theres loads to do. Especially if you dont mind driving. Theres places near by like st ives and newquay and lands end. Would be rather cold though! haha Weve also been looking into scotland. Although Im not % sure what to do there.

We are going to Cornwall - but we are walking / country viewing people so we are going to the eden project and the national parks etc. Loving to see other people are happy to do UK honeymoons - everyone I know laughs at me when I tell them!
CommentAuthorMrs Jones
Thanks ladies! Im sooo glad others are in the same boat lol!
Most people assume your going to go abroad for honeymoon! At least we are going to be different! :P
We are NOT walking people at all lol! Theres alot of choice if you like walking and things :) places like cornwall, Devon, Newquay x
The biggest problem for us i think is the weather! Its either going to be freezing or raining!

A couple of years ago I booked a Hyde Park serviced appartment for the weekend before Christmas. It wans't very expensive, and it was brilliant! We had our own kitchen so could cook if we wanted. It was really lovely, so easy and private! I can't remember the website, sorry!! But google it.

I wouldn't suggest Blackpool in November as everything will be shut (tourist stuff) as the season ends at the end of October.I live just outside of Blackpool and its not really got much going for it after all the touristy stuff shuts down i'm afraid! What about Chester? We went there for our minimoon,we stayed in a lovely spa hotel just outside the city centre(end of October 2012) and it was lovely. You have a Zoo,the races, aquarium, fab shopping,a bit of history and lots of lovely restaurants and bars xxx

I will always say Wales lol! I'm in love with the place :D We stopped in cardiff with the stadium tour, headed to barry island for a day, did penarth for a dad. & Recently we did Weston-Super-Mare & Cardiff & Barry too. Beautiful place. xx

If you aren't fussy about wanting a flash hotel then there is a Days Inn @ the services just outside of London which is a 5 min drive from the tube, it's a nice clean hotel but super cheap for London. My Mum, Daughter & I had a weekend there back in July. :o) xx
CommentAuthorMrs Jones
No Im not too bothered about the hotel. Weve been looking at premier inn :P
Aslong as it is clean and comforatable then im happy! Thank you hun i shall google it now :)

Awww so pleased I could help you Hun! The car park for the local tube is ridiculously cheap too & then using the Underground is all part of the London experience! :o) ... If they are still showing 'The Wizard of Oz' at The London Palladium, it is WELL worth a watch (& I don't even rate the original film)... There are cheap tickets booths in the west end that give huge discount against advanced booking! ;o) xx

What's your budget hun if you don't mind me asking and how long do you want to go away for?
Do you want to be right in the center of London or ok to be by a tube station with fast travel to the West End? xx

bath is beautiful ..... lots of historic buildings ... bath spa ... tea in the pump rooms , and it give you the chance to go out and about to the surrounding countryside
Is that each or for the two of you hun? If you stay in the outer zones but still on the tube it's cheaper and also you can get a tube into the West End quickly. London hotels, especially those in the Financial areas are a little cheaper during the weekends too as their main business is from business people Sunday night to Friday morning. £500 is just about doable I think. Also, if you plan well in advance, you can apply and get yourself a free 1 month T@st£ card that will give you 50% off or 2 for 1 on food in many restaurants.
xx

Good luck hun. Look at hotels close to the tube but not in Zone 1. Try staying in zone 3 and then you can just use the oyster card to get around, the tube means you'll only be 10-15mins from the West End xx
