I thought I would start a thread for things that you wish you had known before/during/after your wedding day and I guess to use as food for thought for some brides to be :o)

I wish I had realized how quickly the day would go, despite being told that by lots of other people.

I wish I had got a bolero/wrap because although it was sunny, it was freezing!

I shouldnt have fussed so much over my veil - I only wore it for about 10 mins after the ceremony and it now hangs in a cupbard.

I wish someone had took charge of our guestbook as not many people signed it.

I wish I had gotten changed into my jeans just married top in the evening so I would have been more comfy dancing and not slipped on my dress so much!

Definitely agree about the guest book - get someone to be in charge of it or ask the best man to mention it in his speech

There is already a thread like this that members have been adding to for some time. I've bumped it for you if you want to take a look - it's called 'If you could do it all again...'

I think I would also add that I wish I had had a receiving line as I felt like I didn't spend much time at all with my our guests and felt more like an observer when we were sat having our reception meal.
