    Hi everyone,

I have currently been to two small local wedding fairs, however I am considering going to one of the big national shows. There seem to be so many around though so I dont know which one would be best to visit.

Have any of you just been to small ones and do you think its worth going to the larger ones too. Also can you recommend one

    ty x

ive been to a few local ones and the national one in bham. national one is good if you havent got your dress yet as there are loads of dresses. however i went to the national one when everything was pretty much sorted and booked so it was a waste of time for me. the catwalk was good though. i found the local fairs better for booking suppliers etc as they were local and prices were better. but it was a good day out going to the national one will give you some inspiration xx

Im going to a coupe of local ones in January, and then to two bigger ones in Feb. The biggest one is at the end of Feb in SECC Glasgow and it is MASSIVE. I have also got tickets to the Loch Lomond fayre as we are getting married in that area so will be beneficial for local suppliers. only need to pay entry for two of the fayre. My sister is also getting married so we are both going together and if nothing more we will have fun days out :)

I just went to local ones as I wanted to get advice from suppliers that were close to where I lived, which is nowhere really national, it may be nice for a little wedding themed day out tho, even if you just get some really good ideas that you could pitch to local suppliers in the future when u get to booking things x

Took friends to big, mum to local, but I wasn't planning on getting anything significant at either - just make up artists & decor ideas.
My mum took her OH when looking for rings, decorations & cake

i took my OH to some wedding fayres. he was a bit bored at the national one as we had already sorted most stuff. i took him to the fayres at our venue and he enjoyed looking at all the dresses and the catwalk show.

i wouldnt advise taking OH to a fayre where your dress supplier might be there tho! i did take him to a local fayre with me at a local football club and he saw my dress on a manequin and said that it was horrible looked plasticky and if that was my dress then i should take it back to the shop cus he hates it!!

haha but i love it. and as you can see from pics in my album its nothing like he says lol. he will love it on the day they always look different on than they do on manequin xx

I fon't like the big ones, to impersonal, and most often the vendors are from far away! I prefer more local vendors, i can visit easily!

Yeah, I have the problem that about 99% of the local wedding fairs are on a Sunday and I can't do Sundays :( x
