    Hi girls,

My bridesmaids are planning my hen night, but I want to choose the theme. Sooo just after some fancy dress ideas that aren't slutty or common. Want something different but girly. Thought of hula themed, but not sure about wearing a bikini lol! Having my hen night in a privately hired dining room in a restaraunt that's going to be all decorated in the theme we choose.

    Any ideas??xx

My theme is the hollywood red carpet! ;-)
The plan being a weekend in london spending the day in a spa getting the full works, massage hair make up nails etc. Getting our ball gowns on then off to a 3 course meal followed by a westend show!
Sunday ............i have no idea as my sister is doing that

but the whole idea was the saturday had to be something that my nieces could do the youngest being 8 and then the sunday for the adults hehehe

We are going as disney princesses, my sis has even enquired about a handsome prince strippergram! I once saw a group of girls dressed as gangsters! sounds odd but they were dressed in very smart pinstripe suits and actually looked very sexy x

I really wanted a flapper theme for my hen night! Shame I didn't have one lol! I just love the kind of outfits worn in the 20's - so glamorous!

For classy I agree with Hails - go for something like Hollywood red carpet - or James Bond Casino - something that you can really get glammed up in evening dresses or similar..... If you can afford it, does the private hired room have space for you to have a casino table of some kind with play money?

My friend did a Hollywood Oscar theme party.....she had a red carpet and a photographer, and we had our photo taken holding our oscar and then we were to write our message for to the bride in an oscar acceptance speech style. Everydody really went for it dressing up, it was a great nite.
Mine is going to be in London.....a show, then cocktails and somewhere nice for dinner. Sunday i'm not sure whats happening! xx

I know this isnt what you would enjoy but I would totally go for something fun, like characters from the League of Gentlemen or The Mighty Boosh :-)

I think if you want sophiticated the hollywood idea seems like a good one, you could all go as different hollywood stars of the 30s/40s/50s. Katherine Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe etc

when my friend was getting married we did neon colours - so everyone picked a colour and then dressed head to toe in it! Caused quite a stir walking around Dublin!

I'm thinking of everyone wearing charity shops wedding dresses! With mine being horrendous no doubt as my BM's will be picking it out! x

we are doing Cleopatra! costumes can be short, long or just a normal dress. The only rule is that everyone has the wig, headband and make-up and that nobody turns up in slutty bum showing outfits! urgh.
    that way everyone is comfortable.
