I fried the onions in fry light, then added the chicken till cooked, then added the tinned tomatoes, simmered for 10 minutes, then added the sweetcorn, peas mixed herbs and a pinch of salt

I lost 3lb this week really chuffed (though some of that was what I gained on weekend away last week!)
5lb to goal.... 5 weeks to wedding hope I can do that the last few pounds can be hard :(

right girls what am I doing wrong. Been on this diet since Saturday and been using the free 7 day menu online. i have been mixing up the menus though. So far have made the chicken tikka twice, cottage pie twice and steak and slimming world chips. Breakfast has been a mug of hot water with lemon, grapefruit slices or Jordans museli and a banana. Lunches have been a tin of Heinz chicken and barely broth and a muller light yoghurt.
I have not cheated (apart from loads of booze on Sat night) and for snacks have been eating very low fat laughing cow or seafood sticks (yum).
I have not lost a thing!!! In fact I put on 4lbs over the first few days, but I kinda expected that as I was on Atkins before so my body will be getting used to carbs again. But I would have thought I would have maybe dropped a 1lb by now? Dont most people lose heaps in their first week??
is it ok to swap the menus about, or do you have to eat exactly what they say and on what days they say? Someone also mentioned red and green days. What the heck is that about? (I didnt want to pay to join and go to a meeting until I knew the diet worked for me first......)

the red and green days were what the plans were to start so it gives u different options and healthy extras etc i find the extra easy the best one to follow although if u were on atkins maybe green days till ya body gets used to the carbs i never weighed myself midweek when i first started as ya weight fluctuates so much how much alcohol did u have that is my worst enemy i can be really good but as soon as i touch alcohol on goes the weight lol

I would persevere linzi.... I went onto it from another diet and didnt lose first week but dropped 3 the second and its carried on dropping off since then.... if you check the syns in alcohol and nibbles (like cashews!!) though you may be surprised, you dont get much of that stuff for your syns at all (2 glasses of wine are your days syns gone so a big session can easily be your week!!) Also watch the amount of laughing cow etc as only so many are free, and only if thats the only dairy you're having.
