I get married this Friday. THIS FRIDAY! Feels like I have loads to do, I don't but it feels like it. And now every night I lay awake for ages and it takes me a long time to fall asleep. Then when I do I keep having crazy dreams, last night I dreamt my dress got ripped before the ceremony. Before that I dreamt my venue had turned into a coffee shop! I've dreamt my make up artist and hairdresser don't turn up. I've also dreamt my dress is almost black dark purple. Random, it's ivory clearly.

Clearly I'm a stress head. I have tried my best to proof this against myself. I even have a 1.5 hour full body massage booked for Wednesday, along with mani and pedi after. But I'm at the point where I'm comfort eating which is ruining all my fab dieting!!!

Any tips ladies? I can't be a write off! Haha

Every time you feel that kind of stress during the day, maybe do something good for yourself. Work out, paint your nails, stretch, take a bath... Make sure you aren't using your laptop or your phone an hour before you are going to bed and put on some quiet music/sound tracks so your brain is distracted by the pretty noises!

I been having crazy dreams too, but I still have 4ish months left! When I get stressed out over things (uni dead lines, exams) as I know they are coming up I take clams I start taking them a week or so before and will be doing this for the hen and wedding as it helps with my anxiety. Other things I like to do is just have ME time I'm always out seeing friends, family or at uni so now and then when mats at work (he works 2-10) I'll have a 'pamper' night, hot bath, fake tan, dye hair (if needed), do nails, watch a sloppy movie. This helps me be very relaxed on my pamper nights I put lap top and iPad away.

I love just grabbing a glass of wine and having a nice long soak in a bubbly bath before bed. It relaxes me so much. x

Thanks for the tips. It's nice to know I'm not alone! I think the putting laptop down idea is good. I keep browsing UK bride in the wee hours and it probably isn't helping! Lol

We actually got our first card and present come through today! That makes it feel very close!

It's weird. During the day I get excited, during the night I get nervous.

I think it's natural for you to be having trouble sleeping so close to the wedding. Try to just relax as much as you can though and breath if you start having a panic.

Oh and also as for the comfort eating, it's too close to the wedding for you to do any damage really, you can't put loads of weight on over a couple of days....

Is there something else you could go for instead of food.... take up knitting or read a book?

I'm not getting married until next year and I'm having these dreams already too :( I dreamt that my dress wasnt fitted properly and was hanging off me then I dreamt that it was my wedding day, everyone was getting ready and turned up at the venue to realise we were a year early :s I'm not having these dreams as frequently as your describing but I can imagine nearer to the time I will. The feeling of relief when I realise it was a dream the next day helps me. Try not to think about the dreams and enjoy your massage :) Everything will go well on the day, I read something a little while ago that said..."a wedding has went well if at the end you are married to the man you love". I spoke to my H2B about the dreams I've been having and he gave me some good advice "hopefully nothing will go wrong on the day but if it does dont let it get to you as theres nothing we can do on the day, just enjoy our special day regardless"

Yeah I had the very occasional weird dream in the run up, but they have been almost every night. But it has just helped knowing it's not just me. It's making me feel more normal.

I've taken tomorrow off work now, so I've now got an extra day to get the house nice and clean and make sure I'm all ready. So starting to feel a bit better!

I have a year to go and the dreams are driving me mad. Also in the process of having a huge amount of work done on a new house and the combination of the 2, I'm not getting any sleep. Found a "music to help you sleep" thing online and that seemed to work last night!
