Ebay has lots and lots and lots.

I am planning to get one from the year my nan was born, she recently passed away and I thought that way I don't pick the coin at total random and it's really a lucky charm for us.

PS - do you know the saying? It's...

...something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue... and a sixpence in her shoe!

I like this tradition, I am born Austrian and we have exactly the same saying but dropped the bit with tbe coin. Suppise because it didn't rhyme anymore translated :)

I read somewhere the father is the one that has to place the sixpence in your shoe. My dad is no longer here so my son wants to do it. He is 11 and has started writing his own little jobs of jobs for the day. He has the title of Groomsmen and is taking his role very seriously. lol xxx

sadly my dad is dead, but I bought a sixpence minted in the year he was born and made it into a wine glass charm. I am going to have it on my bouquet for the ceremony then on my champagne glass for the photos/meal/evening do!
