ive seen an absolutely gorgeous dress that ticks all the boxes of what i wanted and i felt a bit like a princess when i tried it on.
problem is it was in the first dress shop id been to and i dont know whether to just go for it or try another store. any advise would be great

If you really love it then go for it, but if you also have little doubts that you should have a look around first just to make sure then you should. I think I tried on 3 dresses before I found the right one, and I even tried on more afterwards just to make sure, but still kept going back to the one I fell in love with. Cheesy but true when I say follow your heart! :) x

I bought mine in the first shop I went to-I loved it!!! The only thing I told myself was I would never go to another bridal shop as it would be too tempting to try on again and have 2nd thoughts. I will say though I bought my dress a year ago and I love it more now!!! x

i do think id be going to the other stores just to confirm my decision to be honest rather than having doubts in my dress.

If it's "the one" you will know, no other dress will compare to your dress!!! If you have doubts go to a couple more places but not loads as you will get confused with all the different styles x

I fell in love with the first dress I tried on too and went and tried on other dresses in other shops just to make sure. The shop actually told me to do that as some brides can get carried away with the excitement and then regret it later if they see something else. I went back again and tried it on again and had the same feeling so once again left the shop and went back the next time with a deposit. You are spending a lot of money so you need to know that you are doing the right thing. If its not in the sale or being discontinued you are in no rush so take your time and make sure it is right for you.

It just happens when you know you have found the one - i am going to an appointment in march to try on some gowns. I saw the one i wanted which is how i chose what shop to try them on in so fingers crossed i'll like it still when it is on my body

Go for it katy if you can't find any other shops with anything else you like as much as that one - sounds like you found your dream dress :) xxx

Go for it! I went in August with one of my BM's, intentially as a bit of a fun day out for us both. I went into one shop and BM was all - oooooh that's the one. then the 2nd one I tried on she was all ooooh, no that's the one. So I thought by this point she might not be much help on the matter! I tried on a third and that wasn't so good. The same afternoon I went to the 2nd shop and was a bit early so was looking at the sale rail and there it was, *my* dress.
I tried on about 6 others, but when this one went on, my BM cried, so I knew it was the right one for me.
As I didn;t intend to buy one that day I had left my credit card at home so asked them to put it by til the next day. That was good as it gave me a bit of a cooling off period. Not that I needed it as it's mine now!
When you know, you know! x

my sister did the same first dress she tried on it was the one!! we both new it and went to other bridal shops but kept comparing it to the first one within a week she went back and put a deposit down!! cost her £1,000 and my mum was shocked about the price and kept telling her to look around for a cheaper one, but she new it was defo the one and would she would happily pay twice that to have that dress!! mum manged to get her a free vail and tiara so win, win alround :-)

im thinking i might go for it. its wasnt the first dress i tried - it was like the 9th dress and it was my 2nd visit to the same shop - the first time i didnt see anything i liked.
and as soon as she put it on me i was smiling the entire time i had it on and then didnt want to take it off so i think thats a sign its MY dress.

If you feel the same when you go back and try it on again then I would say its your dress. You will know in your gut but what I would do is ring around all the shops that stock that designer and find out who do the lowest price and cheapest fittings before you decide which one to get it from. I got a dress reduced from £1180 for £850 just by ringing around so you can still get money off if you ring about for the same dress.

Tis lush. I can see why you like it so much. I tried a dress on like that but my wide shoulders just don't suit the halternecks :(

Let us know what you decide to do.
