sorry chick no can do - only thing that's ever worked to make my hair grow fast is to keep getting it trimmed, bizarre as that sounds! whenever i get the ends trimmed regularly it grows longer quicker!

I've heard that ginger is good for hair growth. Can't say I've tried it though.

only thing that will make it grow back healthly and "quicker" is havin a small trim every 6-8 weeks. if you let it grown without trimming it and yours ends split it will just not grow so having the ends trimmed every 6-8weeks will help it grow healthly x

I had/have really short hair and decided maybe three months ago that i want to grow it into a one length bob for the wedding. Its driving me crazy growing it past my ears but my hairdresser tells me that even if i am tempted not to have it cut i should still go every 6-8 weeks to encourage the hair to grow. Not sure how true that is as i cant see how doing something to the ends of your hair affects the roots but i do as i am told.Hopefully it will grow in time but wish i had decided this a year ago! xxx

Regularly having hair trimmed for hair growth is a myth.

All it does is cut off the split ends so your hair stays healthy. But it has nothing to do with growth. Hair is dead cells after all. Doesn't matter what you do to the ends it's not going to affect where it grows from- the top of your head.

Spending a lot of time massaging your head (when shampooing) can simulate hair growth, having good circulation helps hair grow, ginger is supposed to be good for circulation which is why it's supposed to be good for hair.

Regular trims is a myth made up by hair dressers so you visit more often!

Thanks ladies :) it's taken me a year to get it in good condition as it was frazzled by bleach so badly I had about a cm from the root that was healthy (this was done by a hairdresser) I will give all the recommendations a try and thanks for the link I will have a look now xx

Just try and keep it in the best condition you can. Lots of water. I am also growing my hair and use trichomania from lush (its designed for afro hair but is great for normal hair as it is really conditioning and as its a bar massages your head when you use it). I also try and leave my conditioner on for as long as possible. If you know you are having a doss day wet your hair and cover in conditioner then stick a shower cap on and leave all day then wash your hair.

Why you have it trim every 6-8 weeks even When growing your hair is to cut the spilt ends of because if you don't the split ends goes far up the hair and so you don't have to have to much cut of at a time and not so you come back to us more often.
Keep yourself heathy and using a good shampoo and condition and try not to over do using chemicals on the hair all helps to keep your hair heathy so it's grows,

a good diet and massage can help stimulate hair growth

i shaved all my hair off in december, so my hair will still be short by sept. luckily, my hair does grow quickly. my hair doesn't even split at the end, which the hairdressers are always amazed at lol i do not believe in cutting it every 6-8 weeks. it makes no sense to me at all. you're cutting off as much as has grown!!

I'm starting to get bored of growing my hair now. But I can't find any wedding styles for really short hair like mine that don't look different to how I normally have my hair.
