As some of you know I started a diet in January and did really well losing nearly 2 stone :)
The problem is that since I got made redundant I have lost all motivation and have stopped dieting, stopped exercising - I used to do wii fit daily and go jogging and really can't be bothered to try as I just dont feel like I deserve to feel good anymore, my depression is spiralling deeper and I just dont know what to do with myself.
It doesnt help that my sis in law who i used to run with 3 times a week has damaged her ankle and I dont have a running buddy anymore! (of course I dont blame her for that!)
If anyone has any Ideas of how I can get my motivation back, or can anyone just give me the kick I need up off my big wobbly bum please let me know.
Thanks
Li

Totally know how you feel, can't offer any advice though, only thing that motivates me to go to gym is a personal training session! And can't afford any more of those :-( lol x

Go to your doctor about the depression and ask if you can have some vouchers for Slimming World while you are there. It's always better to go to a slimming club, especially one like SW which has a fantastic support network. Weekly weigh-ins and friendly advice should keep you on track and motivated. Plus nothing helps depression more than making new friends and feeling more confidence in yourself. All you need is that one brave step towards helping yourself xxxx
Aw hun, I agree with Rachel I lost my weight with WW years ago, it was the social as well as knowing everyone gets to know your weight so you work harder to do well. I have lost a bit of motivation lately - maybe its the weather!! Have you been wedding dress shopping (even though your wedding is 3 years away, it might cheer you up)? that has given me a bit more motivation to get to the gym! Don't be too hard on yourself though xx

Sweetness, i would lend my foot to give u a kick up the bum but no how u feel, since i had my operation in March i am really struggling to lose weight, and its doing my nut in. I know go to fitness classes with 2 good friends as they made me. Do you have anyone else that would go running or join any classes?? I agree with all the others hun that u need to sort the depression out first and maybe that would start something motivating out. But i agree dont be hard on yourself think positive xx
My biggest dream is to marry my Best Friend and I can't wait

I can't help I'm afraid - I've done really well and lost almost 4st in a year, but I'm struggling to keep it up these last few weeks before the wedding - I've just got so much going on and I'm so stressed out! Sorry I can't help but at least you know it's not just you! And well done for your weight loss so far - that's fantastic!

I would definitely recommend forcing yourself along to something with a bunch of people there and an instructor at the front telling you what to do. I am a regular gym user, but even now, I still can't get up the motivation to do anything solo. I hate just going and using the machines, or going out for a run on my own. I go to classes now, and have actually made a few friends via the classes at the gym. Zumba is a great idea if you like dancing!
Exercise is supposed to be good for easing depression too, so if you can get back to it, it should help there too. Either that or if you can afford it, book a single session with a personal trainer just to kick start you back on track.
"Of course I'm not wedding obsessed!!"

Thanks girls,
I have been to the docs about the depression (I was diagnosed as bi-polar when I was 15), I didnt know you could get vouchers for SW?!? I may ask him about that!
Thank you all so much for the advice :) Found out today my SIL will be getting her foot fixed this month so by Sept we should be able to get out running again :D
I am hoping that will boost everything as we get v competative about our weight loss :D

I know how you feel hun, felt the same when I lost my job and my dad within the space of a week. It's taken me ages to get back into it and start exercising again, but I promise you it will help - and with the depression too. I'd maybe just start off slow, so don't try and go for a 5k run, just a long walk. Also try putting up some signs reminding you of what your goal is so that you can see them on the sofa - mine says 'Think of the dress' and is hanging off the clock on the lounge wall, right next to the telly!! I hope these might help you hun xxx

That is a good Idea thanks hun! As fed up as I am though it has all been put into perspective over the last few days I may be depressed and fed up but there are some poor people that have lost everything and my heart goes out to them!
