So I'm getting on Saturday - WOW! I've been taking stock of everything that's happened, good and bad and I've become a little melancholy so you'll have to excuse me for a moment. When we got engaged, we weren't even able to get married, we were planning a civil partnership but here we are a mere 4 days away from our wedding day and we can actually get married; what a feeling it is to know after all the years of battles, there is equality for us and so many people out there just wanting to love who they want to!
From the bottom of my heart to past and present brides, I can't thank you enough for being so welcoming and friendly. I've not been greeted which such kind and accepting people anywhere else and I remember the joy you all shared with me when I found out that I could actually MARRY and not have a CP. No matter what the problem, you girls have always been there offering advice and supporting me through the latest drama.... Which there have been many but behind that, the warmth and kindness of you all have made me so happy to have the support of such wonderful women! I really have had the best experience planning my wedding and I've made some true friends for life on here.
The best bit of advice I could give is enjoy the planning process and don't stress the little things because eventually you'll realize that it isn't worth it and what really matters is marrying your soul-mates. Be happy ladies!
I'm really looking forward to Saturday and I'm so ready to become the newest member of the Rodgers clan!! Don't worry though, I'm sure I'll be around for quite a while yet especially when I know how much you girls love to see dresses and great news there, you get TWO to oggle over with me ;) So congratulations to everyone this year and in the future, you'll have the BEST time!
