Hi, have stumbled across a site where you can preserve your bouquet after the wedding, to keep as a 3D picture - I admit, it sounded weird when I thought about it but after seeing the examples I'm really thinking about doing it! H2B isn't enthralled at all, especially as it could cost over £200 but I'm tempted to fund it myself instead of the joint wedding budget as I think it's a fab idea! Has anyone else done this?

I'v seen sites that do this too. I would love to do it with mine after the wedding. But the price does put me off a little.

My sister in law preserved all the petals from her bouquet and used them in frames around all her wedding photos. Looks really pretty tho its a shame the bouquet was not preserved in one piece. xx

I was kinda interested in this, but the price put me off, but I was gutted at the end of the wedding day that I wouldn't get to keep them, so I asked my nan to take them home and press them for me.... not quite the same, but atleast I get to keep them in some form xxx

There's also an option of putting them in a paper weight with just some of the blooms which is what I'm tempted to do - and a lot cheaper at about £20-£30. Although i do think the 3D picture effect looks amazing!! I guess it depends on how money is and how much I love my bouquet!!

really? I thought the paperweights started at 100 quid each with a minimum order of 2 - maybe I mis-read that! But the whole bouquet is really appealing, I'm having bright tropics as my colour scheme so think my flowers will look brilliant!

If you dangle them upside down they dry out but still keep the colour. I have red roses from years back still red x

Someone at my work told me that you can dry the flowers and then mount them in a frame.
Maybe this is what you are meaning lol

Haha Becky you seem to think just like me! I just searched for a topic as i'm interested in this and you started the thread!

I am really keen in a way as it's to keep for life. I'm probably more tempted by a paperweight, or a smaller frame of one/a couple of flowers as a) they're cheaper and b) I don't have much wall space so an ornament, small frame might be easier to display.

Have you decided to go for it? x

i know of a company that take one of the flowers from your bouquet and dips it in silver and makes it into a pendant

Haha I'm still tempted, think I'll get even more excited when I go to see Lynn in Feb for my goodie bag - I have no idea what flowers I want, just colours, so she said to come back Feb/March and she'll have put together a goody bag for me to go through and decide what I like and what I don't like so she can get ideas for my bouquet but she thinks she knows what I want! Def think I might go for it though, like you say maybe not the whole bouquet but then I'm sure the whole bouquet would look fantastic....!! Arghh I'm even considering getting my save the dates, invitations and menus all properly mounted in a frame like a platinum disc board to hang on the wall too as I love them so much! Hmm am I taking this too far?? :-)

No I think that's a great idea! The whole bouquet would look fantastic I agree. If you find a local company let me know. I'm also asking my SIL as she's very crafty and presses flowers and puts them in resin to make broaches/necklaces etc and she may have some ideas/contacts.

Lynn picked my flowers. I told her my colour scheme (actually had a swatch in my bag) and she said she thought sweet avalanche roses in pink and white. My MIL agreed wholeheartedly and I didn't have a clue at the time so went with the flow. Have since looked them up and they are perfect for me! Have to go back when bought a dress (hopefully in a fortnight!) to discuss size/style of bouquet. It's all so exciting! x

haha we so have similar ideas! The precious petals place does a courier collection and delivery so I wouldn't worry about being local etc, there's one based in Chester with free pick up within 50 miles called Perpetuelles but I think they only do framing, not the paperweights etc, and there's one called Flowers Forever based in Runcorn but I've not rung them yet to see what they do - I found them on a search engine but there's no website, just a phone number :-)

ooh and I've just found another called Susan's Floral Designs based in Runcorn - they have 6x6 frames starting at £30! They have a website too but not a lot of pics of past work etc :-)
