Has anyone ever booked or considered booking an all-inclusive wedding package. Are they good deals? I've looked at a few but I'm just not sure. Any advice would be appreciated.

I looked at a few, but they were being a nightmare tailoring to what we actually wanted, almost like 'how dare you want something different to what we have writen' So didnt go to them. The place we ended up booking (and love) we are using one of there packages.

Ceremony room decorated (pics in my album) followed with canapé and chanpagne for the 40 guests who were at ceremony
Recpetion room decorated, buffet and could of used there dj. 1 drink for everyone with speaches and a top up drink for 80 guests.

There is other stuff like red carpet, room to get ready in for me and my minister (traveling 1 hour and half to do ceremony) Honeymoon suit for me and OH. cant remember the rest and its costing us £1700.

I think its a fantastic deal concidering what some of the other hotels were going to charge me for my inconviance! lol
But then I guess it all depends where you stay and the hotels around you.

I did think about this as a couple of places do this on the island but it was only for about a max of 60 guests which would not have been enough.

We are having a package £3000 for 50 day and 100 night guests with drinks reception,3 course wedding breakfast, evening buffet. It has covered most of the things we want-the only extra things we are paying for is an extra floral display for the top table and rooms for the night before for moh, duaghter and myself. We have complete exclusivety and its a beautiful venue -It would have cost us £4500 to do it per head xxx

I'm getting a package, it's for 60 day guests. But we are having more than this so are just adding the extra ones on. The hotel are great and you can change what ever you like x

We aren't doing a package as we are having our evening reception elsewhere, but would have done if we had suck with the one venue.

They do tend to work out cheaper and are the less stress option. Most venues will let you increase the number of guests for a set price per head.

It also makes it easier to compare venues xx

Ours was a package, room hire for full day, red carpet, 3 course wedding breakfast for 50, 3 bottles of wine per table, half a dozen bottles of fizz, evening buffet (hot pork cobs, nom!!) for 90. Total £3k, slightly more expensive but the venue was amazing. We just had to sort registrar and decorations, but they decorated the room for us. They let us change what we wanted as well, they were very flexible! x

Ours is bespoke. We didn't want a package, as we wanted control over all the key features; eg we wanted to pick our own band, not have the DJ they used, we wanted to choose our own flowers, etc. So, basically we sat down and worked out what we wanted in terms of food and drink, and then asked venues for costs on these things.

However, packages can work well if you aren't too fussy, and can also work out cheaper. Most also offer different tiers eg some might just include venue hire and food and drink, with the next one up also including flowers and DJ, and so on.

We werent going to have a package wedding, but when I saw this venue I just knew it was the place for us. It is more than what we wanted to pay, and we have to pay extra for things like chair covers (and we can't hire anyone elses) which is obviously rubbish but this is where I want to get married so just have to pay for the extras x
