hi I had individual false lashes for the wedding day.... this was 5 days ago.
I was told lots of water but this hasnt worked and instead each time I lose some, I see loads of my own roots as they have used waaaay to much glue. I have some lashes still in as cant get them off. I have tried make up remover and all sorts but they are stuck and I have literally none of my own lashes left. I seriously feel like crying. She never has used this much glue before. help.

Oh dear that sounds awful.Are they party lashes or semi-permananent? How long did she say they would last? I have semi-permanent ones that last up to 6 weeks and when they are coming to the end and are looking a little tatty i sometimes use a bit of vaseline on them and it breaks down the glue( i just rub it gently at the base of the lash)I really think though that you should go back to whoever did them and let them sort them out as otherwise you might end up in a mess xxx

Oh I could try vaseline then perhaps? didnt think of that. She didnt say, normally she said when i had them done in the past that they last a few days and come off with plenty of soap and water. A few fell out so I have been trying since to get the rest out as it looked stupid, now it looks more stupid. I am waiting for her to reply to me text but will let you know what she says :) My hubby and I are going to get the full ones today so I have something when away as those get glued just above the lash line and hopefully mine will then grow back.

I dont think the vaseline will do any harm.I hope you get it sorted out x

ive just had another look and I can see one or two that are mine haha! oh no! I dont know whether to laugh or cry. Hubby is supportive but I think he also kind of finds it funny.
I tried to put eye cream on it as had no vaseline but dint do anything. im off out so will get the vaseline when out x

I always use vaseline when i have mine done but you have to do it longer than 10 minutes because of the glue.

oh, sorry to hear bout your eyelahses, must b painful as well if theyre coming out! Could you ask her to come to you? To be fair, its not really your fault that your eyelashes are falling out after she did that!! x

Just wanted to help put your mind at rest, yes, they will grow back. I've got trichotillamania, and have regularly pulled all of mine out since I was 12, they still grow back! I hope she manages to sort them out for you, if worst comes to worst, a bit of eyeliner on the lash line can help disguise it until your real lashes grow back!

ah yes the eye liner may help! I have an appointment for 3.45 as she said she needs a special solvent matched to the glue so she has purposely gone out and got it. I have explained I have got most of the glue off but there is still enough to hold the lashes on and It looks pretty silly so she has told me not to do anything. The good news at least is I get to give my car a good run as its 25 mins away but tbh I dont want to go given I dont know the area. At least my mum is going to come with me.
I was thinking of taking the full lash strips and glueing them above the lash line but with the heat I think these will just keep coming off x

Wont lie, it is a while to ge them back to full length, probably about that time, although mine do get beyond the short stubby stage withing a few weeks. There are products you can get to encourage eyelash growth which I've heard some mixed reviews about (work brilliantly for some people, some people it's a bit patchy and some it doesn't work at all!)

update: Good news.... they are all off and I have saved about 70% of my lashes haha! It just looks a bit spacious either side near my nose ooops and less full than normal. Luckily I have thick lashes so they just look a little less full than before and as I said a bit gappy by the nose but unless you knew me and knew what I normally look like, you wouldnt know the difference phew! Lots of mascara and the eye liner has helped. thanks girls

yep everything is ok..... they said that maybe too much glue was used to make sure they stayed on given it was my wedding day as normally they should come off much easier and defo not take lashes. Never mind, all sorted and it doesnt look too odd, just one or two gaps which unless you look close, you wont notice x

Ahhh just read through this and was so worried for you! But I am glad is all ok now! You are very lucky you have thick eyelashes in the first place! If this had happened to me I would have probably had none left! lol And that's a bit mean of your hubby! lol wait until he starts to go bald and then return the favour by giving him one of your hairs! heehee xxx

hes already got grey hairs so I wind him up over that. I know I was very worried... I really did think I was bald but they said thats because I was only looking at the bits that had fallen as the other lashes were still in place. Thank God I was blessed with thick lashes as now I look like a normal person (other than a few small odd sections where lashes are small or non existant but noone notices). HUbby just says I dont have my gorgeous lashes anymore but they will grow back.
