We had a murder mystery night at work once, it was in a hotel where I live and it was so much fun! I'm not sure it's something they regularly host but it cost us £35 per head and that was the murder mystery, 3 course meal, table wine and coffees.

i should say though, it wasn't the type of murder mystery where you play the characters, rather we were sat at the table whilst various scenes were played out in the restaurant. We also got a chance to 'interview' all of the characters as well.

My ex sil used to throw them regularly - she'd bought a kit for it. They were always fantastic and it didn't matter which group of people were there, it was always fun. Sometimes, it will downright hilarious, other times it was intense and spooky - it really is the people who make it.
I think it's an excellent idea for a hen night
