hi, guys! is anyone else feeling a bit of pressure from the in laws about the wedding planning?? or is it just me??? m in law keeps urging me to be more organised and i must get things booked bl blah blah ...ohhh its not long now u must be organised!!! but to be honest i think im quite organised and the in lws r really ruining the fun or organising my big day. its getting me down and im stressed out! is anyone else in a similar situation???

Nope I'm getting the oppisite! 'Why are you booking things now?' 'You dont need to do anything until 3 months before, that's all it took me' etc. They got married 26 years ago and dont have a clue how booked up things get, and his mum called me a liar when I said it can take 6-9 months just for my dress to be made. So I now dont tell them anything! If I was in your shoes I would just say 'Oh yeah I'm looking into x, y and z at the minute' and that should get them off your back. You dont actually have to be doing it though! lol xxx
Got together 14.02.2008

My inlaws are fantastic they haven't said a thing lol. My own mother on the other hand has tried to take over my entire planning.

Like Linzi Jo says ur looking into stuff or waiting for people to get back to you just to keep them quiet for time being, as long as ur happy with how things are going thats all that matters xx

Learn the smile politely response hun.
I am very fortunate that my MIL is lovely and whilst interested has not been at all pushy.
Linzi - Jo my mum was exactly the same as she booked her wedding three months before she had it but that was in 1978!!! What she didn't realise is that times have changed. I could tell her disbelief at the wedding dress, but I think that she spoke to other people who fortunately confirmed it.

My In-laws to be are not interested which is a little hurtful but at least they aren't being annoying in any other ways. Just cant stand the 2nd marriage quibs.
