i sell my stuff on facebook. There are plenty of selling sites in any area, i have sold a fair bit of stuff and every penny i get goes into a pot that pot is the "wedding fund" all spare change goes in there too, so far £250+ has been made on fb and all the loose change too, i'm ok not getting married until 2013 so still some time to pay for things.Also instead of treating myself I have bought little things like my bridesmaids tiaras and my wedding jewllery, you will find that once your wedding comes there is still so much to buy but do it over weeks and your not left with a huge bill. If you are selling anything on Ebay, you need really good pics, I have sold some right rubbish but it was described well and dogs bollocks photos, always helps especially if large items make sure they are clean and bright.

I looked in to doing the sex chat lines for a while, not that great money really unless you can keep them on the phone for ages. You log in when your working basically and calls come through to your landline phone, then you log out when your done. Selling stuff on ebay or car boot is always a goodun if you got anything to sell, there was a shop near me that sold t-shirts on the cheap, wrestling ones, band ones and funny logos etc.... like £2 each, i bought a load of them and sold them on for £10 a time, sadly that shops shut now :( The dirty knickers i dont think you can sell on ebay, but there is a market for them apparently, cheap ones for £1 each from primarny, i was thinking stick a pair on the dog for a couple of hours, then on to the next pair etc... lmao

H2B, says have you thought about going to your bank, and seeing if they could help you? They might be able to with a loan, overdraft, or a months payment holiday on your mortgage if you have one (Or ask your landlord if you are renting if this is possible?). If you explain the circumstances & the reason you need the money to someone in person rather than over the phone it might help.
Do you have any life insurance/endowment policies you could cash in? You'd lose out on the value of them rather than letting them run to maturity, but it might get you out of a hole in the short term.
