What do people think about wearing a mix of silver and gold jewelery?

I'm having platinum rings, I'll possibly have a silver and diamonte necklace and a silver, pearl and diamonte hair pieceut I'm thinking of wearing a set of earrings that my mother gave me for my 18th birthday, they are a set of gold chandelier earrings that my mum bought when she was young and they are at least 100 years old.

I love them but very rarely wear them as they are so precious to me.
I keep thinking that it would be a perfect time to wear them and they could be my something old but then wonder if it would look silly to mix the colours

Try it all on together and see how it looks. You could always switch the necklace for a gold one to match the colours over?

also, how are you having your hair? if it is down it will cover a lot of the gold anyway, you will still be wearing them and you know they are there but wont look as unmatched x

I'm mixing gold and silver and I think it works well. My engagement and wedding ring are both white gold. The jewellery I'm having made to go with my dress is yellow gold based (a nod to our autumn theme) and has cream pearls and some diamonte sparkle to match my dress.

It might work best if the necklace is gold too, only because they will be close to each other whereas the rings will be further away if that makes sense. X
