I got engaged when i was 17 before, but our relationship was on the way downhill but i thought by getting engaged it would fix it( it did not) split up less than a year later, he was too imature , i felt more like his mother than gf, and were always arguing with me in tears, but it made me stonger and realise what i wanr, after that i was very straight with guys and did not take any rubbish! My oh propsed after just 1 month while i had been with my ex for 3 years and knew he was the right one , but did not tell anyone ciz we knew people would say we were crazy. But after 6 months he moved in with me as hot a job by us, and within 6 more months i was pregnant , once our girlie was born he reproposed properly, now our girlies nearly 2 and hes a ever better man that i could of wished for! Im 23 now will be 25 when we tie the knot! X

I think it's totally up to the person/ people I personally wouldn't get married under the 25, I will be nearly 28 when I marry and we have been together seven years so we haven't just jumped into it x

I'm 23 but look 18, apparently. So when I tell people I'm getting married soon they almost look at me like I'm a deluded teenager rather than a 'sensible' adult.
Personally I think 16 and 17 is too young to marry, 18 at a push. But as long as the couple are mature enough to understand what constitutes to a marriage and love each other enough to be with them for the rest of their lives then they can knock themselves out.

Its funny, I know someone who got married right out of uni at 21 and i know people who have got married much later in their 30's and 40's...... I couldnt tell you who were the better match. I think it all depends upon the individual. Me and H2B feel like we wish we had met earlier as we will be 27 and 28 when we get married.... but I think it was the right timing for us to meet.... he had other very time consuming interests when he was younger and i think if we'd have met at 21 he might not have been ready ..... for me personally I wouldnt like to get married until I had been with the other person 2 years as i've seen very happy relationships fall apart after the honeymoon period wears off, but its all personal I think and I think you know deep down if its right or not. It's not for anyone else to judge as long as the couple understand the gravity of the promises they are making to each other.
Cant wait to marry my best boy :)
I love him to the moon and back
Eeeeeeeee!!!!
Depends on the couple. I got with h2b at 17 and got the "it wont last" from alot of people (h2b is 10 years older). After 6 years together we had our first son, when I was 22, and got the same mumblings of "arnt you a bit young". When we get married in 2015 we'll have been together 13 years so although we didnt marry then, we got together when I was young, we're stronger than ever, and he loves me baby belly and all!

I think one thing that is important is that you grow up together and don't grow apart ... I have been with mat 6 years and everyone that knows us knows we are ment to be together ... Last time I said I had no comments on our age but I did when I was on holiday by a 19 year old saying how she never been in a long relashonship and she has slept with X amount of people, I just thought bore off she ov dose not know what love is poor thing lol

Thats true i think theres certain stages people go through, i have always been a relationship girl, my first bf when i was 14 was 4 months then my 2nd was 3 years, 3rd a year, and now my oh is my 4th and has been 4 years now! While my fruend has only just got her 1st boyfriend (althought apparently hes not) but they sure act like it!

I get told I'm too young sometimes too! I got with my h2b at 16, and everyone said it would never last. I'm now 21, we've been living together for 4+ years and have a 2 year old son. I know I'm still young and have my whole life ahead of me but I know I want to spend the rest of my life with my OH. Funnily enough the majority of people who make these comments are either divorced or have never been married. But then again everyone always knows what's best for you lol!
