    Hi Girls

Well I'm having my wedding make up trial on Saturday morning and I am so excited it will be 8 weeks until my wedding day tomorrow! (getting so close now!)

Has anyone else had a make up trial yet?! I'm not sure how to explain to the lady that I wanna look flawless but not caked in make up and not too OTT on my eye make up but I want it noticeable!!! LOL I sound like a right fussy mare!!! thing is I'm not used to wearing OTT make up and I hate over done eyes on me lol I still wanna look like me but Flawless! lol

    xxx

i had mine down...pics in ablbum. i already had make up on how i usually wear it so she saw it but i told her i wanted natural but i still wanted to look like i had make up on!

well, wow...i loved it! normally they are really good at doing what you want. tell her the colours you usually wear and what you are after and it will be fine!

i am going to get my make up person to give me a lesson in doing my make up the way she did it when i can afford it aswell! xx

Ooo thats a good idea asking for a lesson on how to apply it properly! I might ask my lady if she does this too, one thing I am pleased about is that she is coming to my house to do it so I'll feel alot more comfortable she also says on her website she will try as many looks as I'd like her too aswell which has put my mind at ease!

I'm glad I'm not the only one wanting something quite subtle.

My H2B will be at home when she comes to do it do you think it really matters if he sees how my make up will be?! just I have managed to keep everything else from him! lol

    xxxx

my h2b didnt see mine. i want to be a complete surprise for him.

my lady only charges £50 for a make up lesson which i think is quite reasonable.

if you dont like something ask her to take it off and re do it. she should do that no problem. xx

Make sure you take someone with you hun as i had mine done last week and was on my own, i hated it, the foundation was ok apart from when i got home i noticed she missed abit under my chin,,,but as for my eyes...i asked for a thin black line across my top eyelashes with alight colour over lid...she drew a fat black line with a pencil that was across my whole lid almost, then blended in a dark gold, then thick black liner across bottom, i honestly didnt know what to think and because she had a friend there aswell i felt i couldnt say omg what have you done...when i got home the eyeliner was smudged down my eye and i had to keep cleaning it up with cotton buds...only thing was h2b loved it and said it would look nice in pictures but no im going to go back with a picture this time and asking her to lighten it up alot!.
Good luck and take pics with you. xx

I had mine last October (had to get it in early in case I had to go through loads as I have very sensitive skin) I told her that I wanted natural, but not too natural and she got it perfect. Definitely say you want natural looking makeup, as it's much easier to put more on than to take a bit off.

    Good luck!

I had my make up trial last week and she said it is best not to move too far from how you would normally wear it as it is what you are used to, I was really pleased with the way she blended different colours together on my eyes how I would never have thought to do it. Only thing I need to reconsider is my hair as I had that trial at the same time and place, I loved the back of it and one side but she suggested I try a side parting, however my usual parting is centre and I kept my hair in the same style from the trial all day but just couldn't get used to it and I felt it looked wonky! I think I should just tell her that I didn't really like it and ask for the same style but with my normal parting. x

Yeah I definitely need to be honest with her I think as I deliberately kept the style in all day to see if I'd get used to it and I didn't and of course we all need to be comfortable with the way we look on our big day! xx

i had a chat with my MU Artsist today and she advised, as did her colleague previously is to get colour matched for foundation at a cosmetic counter, i.e chanel, mac etc. she also told me depending on skin colour at the time, i.e. tanned etc then your overall look could alter slightly, and also even if you dont normally wear much make up then on your day it would be best to be slightly more brighter so you do not looked washed out on your pics.

i have booked my trial 2 weeks before wedding, but as i have my nails done there every 2 weeks any questions i can ask before it all happens so she gets best idea of what i truly want.

    xx

Thanks for all the tips girls! :) I am so excited today! I have looked on her website and it looks like she does a lovely job so I am confident she should do what I'd like! I will definately be putting pics up for you all on Monday!!!

Sorry to hear the problems some of you have had with hair and make up though! sometimes I know it can be hard to say your not happy with something luckily thats why I love the fact my bridesmaid is doing my hair feels so much easier to tell her if I'm not sure! lol xxxx
