"Changing your name when marrying or forming a civil partnership
You should think carefully about whether to change the name on your passport before the ceremony or wait until you've returned from a foreign trip.
This is because the name on your passport should match the name in which you booked your travel. If the name on your passport does not match the booking:
some countries may not let you in some travel companies may not let you board their flights
This may be the case even if you carry your marriage or civil partnership certificate with you. You should check with your travel agent or the consulate of the country you plan to visit.
IPS can change the name on your passport up to three months before the ceremony. They will cancel your old passport and issue you a new one. But the new passport is 'postdated'. This means you cannot use it before the day of the ceremony. Some countries will not issue visas for postdated passports. You should check with the consulate of the country concerned."

That looks absolutely stunning! as much as I wanted to book in married name, we've gone and booked it in maiden name and passport will be in maiden name, and everything will be sorted after we are back. Things can happen regarding changing passport etc & issues with booking so thought it easier to just stick in maiden and sort out all issues afterwards! Most people I know go in maiden name, so have done married but cant remember the reasons why majority choose to maiden it.... unfortunately!! It will be made very much aware we are on our honeymoon though! xx

Ooo where you staying honey? We are off to travel agents on Saturday to book our honeymoon and going to Mexico as well.
You need to book your holiday in your passport name - if you are using your maiden name then just take your wedding certificate with you so can prove your on honeymoon xxx

I have 9 years left on my passport so have left that as the only thing in my maiden name - when you change your passport you need to pay a new passport fee (£76 I think) and they only transfer a maximum of 9 months to your new one, so I didn't want to change it out of principle. When we were on honeymoon though the staff still called me by my married name so I think if they're used to honeymooners you'll be fine. You also can't express a name change on your passport, as if it's happening before you get married, you need certified signed photographs etc.

Looks amazing hun :-) x
Im same as bridalmiss still got ages left so don't wanna pay out for another one untill i need too!
CommentAuthormillz090
I got 3 years left so going to stick with my maiden name until it expires as pointless paying out just for a change of name i think xxx

just to clear things up ...... the name on your ticket MUST be the same as in your passport .... no country will allow the name difference even if you present your marriage certificate ...
