I have 2 ideas for wedding favours, both are probably not very original but I'm struggling. I thought I could either do scratch cards in a personalised envelope or homemade fudge in little favour boxes. Obviously one requires far more effort than another but if anyone else have any other ideas for me then I would appreciate it!

I think the homemade fudge is a lovely idea. It adds a real personal touch to your wedding. I am buying our favours as I wont have time to make anything so close to the wedding as I am making our cake. I have lots of ideas swirling around though, im thinking about:
Thank you scrolls, personalised candles, little chocolate squares with a personalised wrapper, giving away a sixpence with a little thank you card. Spent the last hour or so on ebay looking at favours as I'm not sure what I would like to give. I do know that I will be doing 2 charity favours though in remembrance of family that has passed from cancer and alzheimers. x

I'm doing crackers. I've bought the outer cardboard bit with the snap inside and thinking of filling them with a bottle of bubbles, some wedding related jokes, a couple of drinks vouchers and maybe a few petals. I'm making my placenames though. Basically it's a chocolate lollipop. I'll just melt some chocolate and then write each guests name in a lighter or darker chocolate once it's set.

We've got some chocolate hearts, a mini scroll saying thank you for the day etc... and mini champagne bubbles bottle in a lil red or cream organza bag with a tag on... Dont sound much but we love them. We just made sure not to buy the cheapy looking bubbles and managed to get some awesome ones on bay of e. we decided on the bubbles after going to a friends wedding where she had them dotted around on tables and they were really popular with both adults and children! xx

We are having an organza bag with a packet of love hearts in (only a small packet with about 5 in) and they are personalised on them so would say "mr and mrs pickles thanks you for attending thier wedding 21st June 2013" or something along them lines and then also putting a purple foil wrapped love heart chocolate in the bag too. Getting them off the bay. x

I made love quotes for every table place, then had a sweet buffet ( with retro sweets) and everyone took a bag home with them, there wasn't a single sweet left by the end of the night everyone loved them! ;)
I also gave away my table flowers and decorations away at the end of the night to all my female guests.

For the ladies Ive made egg shaped bath-bombs on a tissue paper nest in an Easter themed bag and then tied these with a wooden egg shaped tag which will double as the name place and also a keepsake with the guests name on one side and the wedding details on the other. We just need to figure out the best way of writing on the tags.

Not decided on mens just yet - but have the tags for them too lol

We're making our own favours (I want to do them myself now but being good and involving my future mother-in-law hopefully next weekend)

For the adults we are having celephane bags with 5 ivory sugared almonds and 3 mini cadbury dairy milks (the type you use to put in those little red machines) and tied with a purple ribbon - our colour theme is pink and purple and after finding out the purple we were using was called 'Cadbury purple' I thought it would be nice to get mini dairy milk bars in with the almonds (as not everyone likes sugared almonds)

For the children, I've brought party bags (with balloons on) and will fill them with Haribo mini bags, crayons and a colouring book. I'm not sure if we will add anything else in there, we were thinking of adding a little toy or something but not sure what.

It was so much cheaper sourcing everything ourselves from ebay and online stores! I saw you could get 'just married' chocolate coins and when I enquired with our decoration company we were advised it would be £40 for 80 coins!!!! I could buy over double that about for £40!!!

We are getting each guest a lottery ticket and also I have bought little birdcage favour boxes and just today bought mini eggs to put inside them.
Ok I admit one or two didnt make it into the boxes....!
I was going to make mini wedding cakes as favours, but now I am still making the cakes, but not as the favours, they will be next to the wedding cake and will be for the guests to take home with them when they leave. You could still call it a favour I suppose but I didnt want to clutter the table setting too much.

the PVC boxes that the eggs come in will be used for the mini wedding cakes, and the eggs will go inside the favour boxes

Ive just bought some white organza bags with some like little burgundy heart shaped smartie type things and then some bigger burgundy heart shaped chocs so each favour will be 1 organza bag with some mini chocs and 1 big choc with a thank you sticker on one side and a 3d burgundy or black heart on the other. im also considering throwing in some mint imperials to fill the bags up a bit more haha. (my theme is black, white and burgundy)
