I'm not getting married abroad but the photographer we're looking at has no limit on the amount of shots he takes, we get all of them on a CD but can pick 80 to have prints of. Not sure if that helps you! xx

it gives me an idea its really helpful thanks i really havent a clue where to start, i dont want to pay too much if i dont need to in some we pay the photographer direct and some are just included in the general package so its hard to work out a budget its driving me mad! x

most photographers ive looked at over here have offered 80+ photos. The one ive gone for comes with an 80 PAGE storybook, so will be more then 80 photos in, as most story books can have up to as many as 8 photos over a double page spread.

oh and we're looking at £860 for that, just incase that helps you a little more! But I totally understand your situation there is so many photographers and different deals/packages and having to arrange 2 seperate ones for here and abroad must be a nightmare!
so 80's a good number then? is a videographer worth getting as well? thanks again for all the help

Oh i might add i'm paying a bit more for my photos (£1250 but includes getting to know you shoot before the day, the photobook, all imageson a disk in 3 different edits and some other bits but ive forgot lol) as the first time i was really dissapointed with the photos as a friend of my uncles did them and you could tell they werent professional. So everything i regretted from that day im doing properly this time.

Were not having a video because they can be really expensive

we've found that we can hire a photographer by the hour for the uk pics cause wont need quite so many but i think we were looking arounf the £700-£1000 we also thought about paying for a photographer to come out there from the uk so we get some more original shots i think the locals guys have the same poses/shots etc but dont know if the cost will get silly

i dont like being on film so i'm not sure about the video and cause i'm not keen on being filmed it all seems expensive to me but h2b thinks it'll be a good idea

We've found a good photographer and are £499 for him to be here all day from me getting ready to after first dance. We get full copyright to ALL photo's (should be over 300 he reckons) and a small print of each. I want to see the lot, after all what will they do with the ones you don't have - sell them to someone else? I don't think so. Negotiate!!!
