We are having a dj to start off with for a few hours, then the band play and then having the dj again, the band will only play for a hour n a half and its worth

We are also having a band to play to give our dj a breather. The dj is costing us £100 + a bottle of rum lol, which is more than doable, he is one of the bikers and djs at a lot of bike club events across herts beds and bucks so thats all good.
Th band we have been in 2 minds about, there is an utterly awesome band who i have seen live 4 times, got a couple of their cds and love them, emailed one of them and got told they would do a set at our wedding for £650 and thats mates rates!! Would be mega awesome to have them, but i dont think we can stretch it.

Another friends band, he is in a wedding band, quoted £550 for 2 45 minute sets but thats with use of disco equipment / dj in between sets which we dont need so was going to see if he would get us a cheaper deal.
Failing that there is a singer / guitarist who does solo work, he is also strongly linked to the bikers and i heard him play at an even last saturday, he is very good, easy listening you can tap your feet and sing along etc.... through the clubs he has quoted £150 so i guess that might be our decision made lol
