Well i was having a girly chat with my friend who is single and we were just chatting, then we came on to the conversation of 5ex, and she gave me a massive oh sh1t moment.... she said how do you feel about only sleeping with the same person for the rest of your life?? of course i already knew this (obviously!) but it proper made me think oh god yeah wonder what it will be like....
Has anyone else felt like this? or suddendly had that moment of realisation where its like my god this is proper grown up stuff! lol

lol funny the things that cross your mind isnt it. I know what you mean, of course you never thought of sleeping with anyone else while you're together, but it's very final and confirmed when you're getting married isnt it... this isnt just a current boyfriend :) I had a wee happy moment there - logged on and seen a designer day advert for the shop I'm getting my dress from... for the month after my wedding :) :) :) I'll be a married lady then! lol x

Lol, h2b and I have joked about this - so we have an allowed list. So we can only sleep with each other unless we have the opportunity to sleep with the 5 people on our allowed list: Jared Leto, Holly Willoughby etc. We obviously live in hope!! I was banned from putting the cute postman at work though.
It's no wonder people are known to have that one last fling on their hen/stag nights though.

I dont worry about the sleeping with part as we have been together a fair while now I do however, get a very strange OMG, it's me that is getting married!! As silly as that sounds! I will be ambling along planning this, that and the other then i think S**T!!! Im getting married!
When the lady at the hotel was talking me through the morning of the wedding a few weeks back, my heart started beating A LOT faster and i had tears in my eyes thinking "Oh my god, she's talking about me doing this!"
Its hard to explain to others as its not cold feet. i think i just lose sight that i will be in the dress, walking down the ailse, saying those things, being centre of attention etc!

Elle I know exactly what you mean - you could sit doing weddingy stuff for an age then hearing someone talking about the day, with you being the bride gives a wee burst of excitement and a 'I'M GONNA BE A WIFEY' feeling lol I get that feeling when I think about saying my vows or listen to the song I'm walking down the aisle to, its suddenly very real lol x

Elle me too :) well not cry so much as feel myself welling up and get a wee lump of excitement in my throat. Having said that, I was watching one born every minute the other day and starting full on blubbing thinking about the day my son was born - I'm pretty emotional at the best of times but special occasions set me right off lol havent been to a wedding in the last few years that I didnt cry at so I imagine I'll need industrial make up to hide my blotchy tearstained face on the day :) x

I'm same as Sara...hand on heart my H2B is the only person i've slept with and he with me!!
The thought of sleeping with someone else doesn't bother me, I cherish what we have and feel we could always spice things up if it ever got boring ;0)
I must admit I feel if I ever was to split with H2B I wouldn't know where to start with someone else. You get so comfortable with who you're with and what you know! My friend is happily married but once was talking about an ex of hers who was "different" in the bedroom to her Husband, she said she wouldn't change her Husband for the world but it was good for her to experience someone else who was more ambitious, so to speak ;0)

Your funny but i dont really think about it.... i have only ever slept with my H2B as been together since i was 17 - nearly 8 years so i know no different and doesnt bother me.
It does scare me how grown up we are becoming though... my little brother (he is 24 and not so little but younger than me) is getting married in 3 weeks and petrifies me as makes me feel old even though they already have a 2 year old. However the thought of me getting married is scarey but exciting, we brought a house together at 19 and that didnt scare me but marriage does?!
