    Hey ladies

If anyone out there knows how to help stop hangnails from happening, or how to help them heal up quickly i'd appreciate the help! The skin around my nails just keeps on peeling and its gross, i really wanna stop this from happening ASAP, i'm too embarrassed to go get a manicure!

get a good hand cream and if necessary wear cotton gloves in bed, the moisturiser will help your hands get supple - also get a nourishing manicure to get them started off! You need your hands in the wedding ring photos!

I've got a cuticle oil and it's really good for hangnails. I would get them occasionally, used to get the more often but the oil really works. You just rub it over and around your nail bed and it keeps the skin moistursied so stops it from cracking and peeling

thanks girls, feel a bit better about it now! Any suggestions as to where i can find a good oil then? Ive used an expensive cream before and it didn't seem to do much other than make them appear nicer for a couple of hours!

I get them a lot too, and was told by somebody that they're stress related. Not sure whether that's true or not (though I am often stressed!) but keep calm and maybe they won't reappear! I know that's easier said than done at times, but any excuse to chill out is good with me! xx

I used to bite my nails and it seems that I either have short nails and lovely cuticles, or lovely long nails and cuticles that are constantly peeling and bleeding!

Regular manicures really do make a difference, and if you can bare to not pick or bite them, that helps too! Although saying that, I cant stop!

was just in sa ins burys and saw Nivea do a hand balm called SOS, less than £3 so probably worth a try as it's for dry and chapped hands :-)

Get your h2b to do the washing up, as washing up can cause it. Or wear washing up gloves. And moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! Vaseline works as a barrier. x
