Hi everyone, I'm stressing out about the invitations. How far in advance do you hand the day and evening receptions invites out and also has anyone invited their vicar to the night? Our vicar is very much down to earth and think he woul come with his wife but just wondered what others were doing.

Id probably be thinking about getting mine out anytime now... I'd like to give people plenty of time to RSVP and for me kick thier butts for not responding. I'm not sure what the norm is though!

we've just done ours with an RSVP for 22nd march, wedding is 4th May.
So hopefully long enough for people to make arrangements but not too far they forget, like you said.
Think now would be fine though.

As for the vicar, it wouldn't hurt if you have a nice bond with them. We have a lovely team at the church who although will not be "officially" invited all know they are welcome to come to our evening do.

Most of ours were sent out just before the 3 month countdown, although I still have 1 or 2 more still to send. However, I sent out Save the Date cards a year ago so everyone had saved the date!

We sent ours out about a week ago for wedding on May 4th. RSVP date of Feb 14th, did think of making it end of feb but thought valentines was nice. Probably need to have numbers 6-8 weeks ahead so gives us a couple of weeks to chase people up if we need to. We've started having replies through which is exciting!
