I am getting increasingly frustrated now, I have a list of things that need to be done and sorting yet can't make the descions all on my own. I have asked for input from h2b and my parents yet all i keep getting are useless responses.

I've asked h2b for the past 3 weeks to do his guestlist, my invites for the reception have all gone out, his are still waiting, i've asked him what type of ceremony he wants, i want religious, but know that he is not convinced there is a God so have to take his feelings in to consideration, i've asked him about excursions he wanted to do, as come on, its not every day you go to Vegas, and also asked if he wants a seperate room booking the eve of the wedding as i don't want to share with him and he can either stop with my dad in my parents room and mother come in to our room or we can book him a seperate room............but he is failing to tell me what he wants to do about any of it.

As my parents are joining us, they are now included in the day so i've asked them where they would like to eat, this has been going on for months and yesterday i finally agreed to KFC (my fav meal) for lunch and then Circus Circus for the evening meal. After looking at reviews for CC steakhouse it would seem that lately the ratings have gone down, yet the prices have gone up, so i've found another restaurant in Paris hotel which has good reviews and is reasonably priced, only for my dad to now turn round and say lets play it by ear and book it when we are all in Las Vegas.

We land at 3pm on the saturday, have the marriage licence to pick up, h2b to get his tux sorted, my parents arrive around 4pm from LA on the sunday and we're gettign married at 11am on the Monday.....where does he think i'm going to get hte time to trapse all the restaurants/hotels to find somewhere to eat and hope we can get in when i want to.

Does no one realise how important this day is to me, and how perfect i want it to be? I realise i am a worrier and like everything to be sorted well in advance, but surely everyone should be trying to keep my stress at bay, not wind me up like a jack in a box.

Sorry the rant is long, just had to get it out!!!!!

i think you need to pin down your h2b (sit on him if necessary! lol) and MAKE him help you with the decisions! you've only got 2 months left!! And if he refuses, you do what YOU want and he'll have to make do - if he makes a fuss afterwards then you can just say you tried to involve him and he wouldnt help so its tough :o)

aw i feel your frustration, my OH has been similarly flat with decision making. I imagine that he doesn't want to make the final decision on anything because he wants it to be perfect for you so wants you to decide - same with eating out in the evening - its easy to pick when they know it's your favourite - but when its guess work they'd rather leave it up to you! Have a chat and decide together -especially about the ceremony. Also see if you can work through his guest list together - that way he can tell that you approve of his guest choices etc. I'm sure he's just as excited as you but wants you to have everything you want on your big day :) Good luck xxx

I've tried and he keeps saying when he is ready, which doesn't help me in the slightest (I understand he works shift work which makes him tired etc, but he's just had 5 days off which he mostly spent doing nothing!), if i push him he'll drag his feet even more. I don't mind making descions if i know that there is not going to be any come back on me, but the way i'm feeling today i could go sit in a corner and cry. I've explained that it is the happiest day of my life and that i need his input but he just doesn't seem to realise how important it is for me to have everything perfect. Am glad that you agree 2 months is not long to get things sorted, everyone else is saying i'm panicking for nothing.

2 weeks or so ago we were supposed to sit down and go through the guestlist, he went out and when i asked him said he would do it in his own time.

I mentioned the ceremony to him last night and he just said not a hope are we having religious, but i'm not sure if he was joking or not. Explained why i wanted it religious, but he just laughed and walked off.

I know he is excited and its not that he doesn't want to marry me or anything, its just he's so laid back he's near enough on the floor. When ever we go on holiday i like to be packed and organised 2 weeks before we go so that if anything needs doing or buying we have time, when we went away one christmas he was packing and wrapping presents 30mins before we were due to leave!!! xx

Ali, i would just tell him that unless he has done his list by friday it will be too late to send out invites.

with the meal if you want kfc then just go. tell your dad it is what you want and you wont have time to sort things out when you get there and they have to be sorted now! xx

I ideally wanted a sit down meal after the ceremony, but can't find anywhere i like which is why i said KFC and restaurant in the evening, at first dad was happy with booking a restaurant and now he's changed his mind.

Can't give mark deadline of friday as he is nights rest of this week, so will be tired and ratty, but think i will say if nothing by next friday, then thats it, tough luck!!! Just need to know his parents full names for marriage application, know their first names but it requires middle names and i can't contact his mother as she has disowned mark and his father is hard to get hold of - although think i'll message him on fb and ask for full names from him.

    xx

Well spoke to H2B last night and asked him if he truely wanted to get married as he was giving no input what so ever about the day or the holiday. He said he cannot wait to marry me, but feels that it has spiraled out of control.

The original plan as you all know was to bug ger off to Las Vegas on our own get married, have the honeymoon and come home a married couple.

What is really happening is we're going to Vegas, as are my parents, spending definately 2 days with them (wedding day and day trip to Gran Canyon) and possibly a few meals with them, then we come home and have a reception for about 100 people.

So he's now feeling like OUR day is turning into everyone elses day and he's not that happy with the way things are turning out.

I did agree with what he was saying to a certain degree, but as i pointed out, although i didn't want my parents there, i can understand why they want to come, i mean i'm there baby girl of course they are going to want to see me married, and in a way i do want them there, especially to help me get ready.

Likewise with the reception, i'm not too bothered about it and nor is h2b, but i can understand why friends want us to have one.

I've told him that it doesn't matter who is there and what we do, its about the fact we love each other and want to marry one another and spend the rest of our lives together and fair enough things aren't going to plan, but that shouldn't matter.......should it???

Hopefully now he is going to be a little more forthcoming with information as otherwise i am probably going to end up a wreck by the 08.08.11 lol

oh definately will look for the tix4tonight stand. With regards to the helicopter over the grand canyon, i've already done that and h2b is not bothered at all with the 7th wonder of the world, but i've told him he has to go as its fantastic which is why i've opted for the south rim trip and national park as the last time i did the west rim in a plane, helicopter, boat and bus.....and tbh, wasn't that great - especially the plane journey!!
