We have the flowers, church, venue, chair covers and photographer booked. Cars are being done by a friend. Have bought, shoes, tiara and 3 bms prezzies and the place cards and thats it lol

i wouldnt be happy about ed going to a family event without me. he would pay for my drinks

but im gettin fed up of people being so shocked at us having seperate bank accounts / finances!!! its been like that since day 1 of us going out and will continue to be like that til i get myself outta debt!!! his money is for the bills etc and then whatever else he wnats..i use my wages on tryin to pay back this debt and get lucas his clothes etc when necessary!!!

but its because ive lied to him about my finance situation that he cant trust me so much just now...and obv since ive been a idiot..he doesnt think he should have to subsidise me again for saturday nite (he gave me £100 to do me over ..5 weeks ago and only just ran out)

but i know ive prob made out to be a knob and i get why people would prob think that....and yes he is being one just now..aside from my money situation he's fab he's the nicest guy etc but its just this causes so much trouble

becca we have separate bank accounts and one joint account where the mortgage payments come out off, it's healthy to have your own independence etc

hehe kate cool! awww becca i see! am in charge of our joint account i pay all the bills.... i have debts but from uni ( yes student nurse's do get bursarys but i was livin beyond my 450 a month ie credit cards silly me) but he understands! and wat extra money goes towards my bills he has it extra to spend on himself! roll on wen its gone lol

me and ed dont have a joint account either. i think you are doing really well becca trying to sort out ur debt.so many people bury their head underneath it so well done.

ed pays all the bills and mortagage. the flat is his and nothing to do with me. we have lved together nearly 2 years but my post still goes to my mum as this isnt actually my address. i do all the food shopping.

i refuse to pay any of the mortgage as it isnt anything to do with me xx

stephen helps me out quite a bit with him earning nearly double my salary but i repay him back with the odd gift here and there just to show him how much i appreciate what he does but it's part and parcel of a relationship when we got together he had massive debts and i helped him get through it and after nearly 8 years we've pulled ourselves out of that hole but only because we helped each other

oh yeah kate i cant believe its been that bloody long - congrats on finally getting your own house back

wish i earned that.i take home just over 1k month and always struggle. in my old job i used to take home on average 1400 sometimes more and i really miss it

I am in the same position as you mrsberkertobe and i really miss not earning what i used to at my old job but i wouldn't go back there for the world. They were evil to me!

As for my new job i am mega busy but working like a dog could get me a payrise so I am all for slogging my guts out 9 to 5 to pay for my wedding! xxx

awww my h2b works 70 hours a week 4 his wage! then says cos he works that i hav 2 do all the housework! ( yet mainly i earn more) but i aint toob othered cos i hav my debts lol

yes and hes like... i shud earn more etc! i said NO u shudnt i spent 3 years at uni etc so dont worry about it lol

rob earns more than double i do but he has a lot to pay off so he hardly sees any of it and what with our rent etc. being so high he pays more of that too!

I always feel bad i can't be more contributing in our relationship and even though i haven't got any debt i barely get by on what i have as i am trying to put all i can into savings to pay for our wedding as well as pay half the bills etc. Soooo hard!

Still all the avon orders i get will help me with saving up too so hope that takes off next brochure as this one was just ok!

becca hunni no matter what situation you got yourself in with money before that was past and is being fixed by you bit by bit and that is the best you can do to make things better. You shouldn't feel worthless, useless or a let down. Would he have married you if he felt you were all of those things? No! so chin up and know this - when finances is hard it can be upsetting, i've been there, but you get over the other side and you do feel better. You guys sound like you need a good heart to heart
