After 4 weeks of literally exercising my a55 off I have finally started to lose weight. I have an underactive thyroid which effects weight loss but it has been very depressing doing 10 miles on the x trainer, cycling 6.5 miles to work, 8 miles home again (going the long way) and then 20 miles on x trainer in the evening and actually putting ON weight. Over the last week I have lost 7lbs as my body seems to have finally got the message! If it goes like before my thyroid crashed, the weight should start falling off me now. About blerdy time!

Blimy sounds like you put some sweat into it girl! well done you, must take a leaf out of your book! at the same time are you sure you're not just toning into muscle, as this weighs more that fat? this is what is happening to me...i need to lose inches not so much on the scales but my weight has stayed the same for a while now, but have lost inches all over :) xx
Unfortunately not, that I wouldn't have minded. It is now turning to muscle and weight's coming off but it can take a (depressingly) long while for my body to adjust. For the first 6 weeks nothing, no weight loss, if any it was the 1 or 2 lb that I'd put on for no reason, no inch loss. It is really hard to try and stay motivated when nothings happening. But over the last week I have lost 7lbs as I said and 2 inches off bust and hips, inch of each thigh, upper arms and waist!

If you're exercising that much, the weight gain will most likely be muscle, so even though you're heavier, at least it's toning not fat. I think you're brilliant. I've started my diet 4 days this week (yes, I know it's Thursday, lol) and today I have finally got to grips with it. I've started cycling a little and I am trying to be more active - like wii dancing etc, but today I got a nice surprise when my h2b called to say he was less than 10 miles away so I went to meet him and helped him unload his lorry - it was all handball, so i'm sure that's helped too :0) Keep us posted! Do you drink the lemon water too, like in the other thread? I started today!! You're doing brill. That takes some stamina to wait that long to see the rewards xxx

I've been out with friends for the evening and 4 separate groups of people have said that I look like I have lost lots of weight and I am wearing my 18 jeans instead of my 20's. I am nearly 6ft but size 20 is still too big.

O M G! I have just weighed myself and this time last week I weighed 14 st 5 lbs and this morning I weighed 13 st 11lbs. Woohoo! Yay! Yipee! etc.

Great hun. It really puts it into perspective. I'm lucky that if I exercise and eat less it drops off but I'm such a lazy coo I dont, then I eat (lots) and I put on. You've inspired me x

Wow that's amazing! Well done - will definitely have to take a leaf out of your book! I've started swimming twice a week zumba once a week . It's been three weeks now and nothing! Started on the lemon water three days ago so fingers crossed! x
