I'm doing my own sweetie buffet which is going very well, but H2B mentioned last night that he thought I might need something special or maybe something to add height to the buffet table.

He came up with the idea of somehow making a tree (poss using polystyrene ball) and fixing the ferrero rocher's to the tree. Now he cam home today with a mini pack and to be fair to him they do stick to the little cases they are in (I had my doubts) so it is possible they could be stuck to something.

Do any of you crafty brides have any ideas or suggestions to help me carry my h2b's idea off?

i know how to make these towers....

    and im making one

polystrine cone as big as you want... and sugarpaste... all you do is put a blob on the back of the sweet and stick it too the cone... simples :O)

can be done with any sweet to make a sweetie tree.... i know a lady who makes these and sells them so thats who gave me the inside info!!!

    and to display it ....

stick completed cone on a single teir cake stand ... instant height

To add height to a sweetie buffet you can use empty boxes and sit them under the table cloth. Its what shops to to create displays. I'm not sure how you would get them to stick on so that the guests can pull them away without leaving the wrappers left on the tree. I don't think cocktail sticks would go through the chocolate would they?

using cocktail sticks is apparently unhygenic and against food hygiene standards and they could go stale as air will get in especially if done before the day ... if you use the sugar paste method you can make months and months in advance as no seals are broken....

just asked the lady i know who makes these as a living and that is her advice

Thank you for your suggestions, I think I might have seen something familiar, but just never knew how to stick them on. Sugar past seems a good idea. I'll check the link out too - thanks girls x
