I was thinking getting everyone a lucky sixpence and putting them on the seats for when they walk into the room for the ceremony, but then h2b said we should do a cupcake wedding cake and use that as favours instead. But I'm not sure

It really depends on how many guests you're having and your budget for favours etc - we have 160 guests so we're going down the cupcake route, but these will be home baked and not bought in - once you get near anything like £2-3 per favour we're spending nearly £500! My cousin is making the cupcakes but we're still having a separate wedding cake from my mum, hopefully the guests will have the cupcakes during the speeches so later when the main cake is cut they're not all caked out!

We are getting married in a ruined castle and have bought celtic pin badges from the castle as favors for the day guests. I'm going to do bags of homemade tablet and another (undecided) trinket for the evening guests x

Our name card holders (moustaches and lips on sticks, crochet cupcakes for the kids) will serve as favours.

I'm a real bird lover, so I'm making little bird seed love hearts on a string. That way, if people don't take them home I can collect them all up and they won't go to waste.

We had a candy buffet - I went along to the local market and got sweets in the colours and wrapper colours that matched our theme :) Spent just short of £30 on sweets, borrowed the jars so there was no cost for them, and got boxes from the bay for less than a tenner. We had about 80 in total day and evening who turned up, and we still took 2 large jars of sweets home!
Now, finally, Mrs Riley
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words

We started off with cupcakes but when pricing them up we realised it just wasnt cost effective so we changed to cake pops (cake balls on sticks decoratad how you want). We then decided NOT to have an evening buffet and just have bacon rolls and mini chip cones, so wanted to have some sort of dessert for our guests and decided to have a sweet buffet! The lady who is doing it does a mixture of sweets and desserts which can include cake pops SO we decided not to have them as favours lol. So anyway we are now having mini buckets filled with ........something lol for the kids, mini silver hip flask keyrings and mini whiskey bottles for the men and silver heart compact mirrors with either mini perfume or lipstick for the women!! And no more changing my mind as I have the main bits lol

We're not sure what we're having yet, I like the idea of homemade seed packets with our fave flower/herb seeds inside (we both love grow your own veg/herbs etc) The kids are defo having a little party bag each with crayons, paper, small toy, sweets (to keep them occupied during speeches - we have over 30 kids coming!!!!!) I love the idea of miniture homemade jams, we do alot of homemade stuff, so will write that idea down! We also looked at a characturist, but a few of my mates said they wouldn't have it done cus they didn't like them. Might even go for the photobooth option, that way every person gets to take a/many snaps of themsleves home!
Just have no idea yet, can't make up my mind!!! LOL!
