Hi, Opinions please. I have been debating on whether to make favor boxes myself which will cost me less than £10 for the materials for 50 boxes, then fill them myself or do we go with our venue decorator to make them at £1 a box (not filled).
H2B wants to buy them already made but I think I should make them will also save us £40.

then if you have the time i would make them your self is your wanting to save money... i made mine because my wedding budget was 7 grand but somehow we have managed to spend 14 grand ekk lol!!
but i love the boxes because i made them :) xx and go with my theme perfectly xx
My sister got them flat packed from somewhere and made them herself. Much cheaper.
I'm using Chinese red packets for ours rather than boxes as we're getting charity donation cards to put in them and then some chocolate coins for the "money" bit. Totally different to the usual favours I think people are used to seeing here.

Our wedding budget is about 8 grand. I have plenty of time to make them. Think I will order the stuff I need and make them. The £40 we will save can go on something else wedding wise.

I made my own with card from the works (£1 for 20 sheets) and piano sheet music I had left from piano exams. I used PVA glue to stick them together and made them into a pyramid shaped box with a black ribbon through wee holes at the top and then tied. All in it cost me about £10 for everything. My bridesmaid helped me make them and I kinda wished I made them myself as their ones are a bit slap dash but I think I can fix them. I made about 18 myself and really took my time but the 12 that we made together arent as nice as Id hoped.....they defo need tidying up
