Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone knows the answer to a question I have about entance and exit music for Church weddings? I am a huge fan of disney and animations and my favourites of all time are Beauty and the Beast and Anastasia and I would love to be able to walk down the aisle to (and leave the church with) a song from each of these being played on the organ, but I'm not sure the church will allow it? Does anyone know if they will allow it or will I have to chose from the bridal march, pachabel cannon D etc? xxx

I don't see why not. I'm having an electric guitar version of kiss from a rose and my vicar said he's ok with anything so long as its not blasphemous or crude etc. I think it could depend on the vicar/priest. Best way is to ask them... They can only say no :) x

our vicar gave us a choice of music but he said we can pretty much have anything we want as long as the organist is able to play it. just give them a bit of notice so they can practice, but other than that i wouldnt think it would be a problem. best bet is to speak to your vicar

You'll have to ask your vicar about it. They have the final say of what is played in their church.

I would be very surprised if a vicar refused a particular piece of music, unless the lyrics were particularly inappropriate. If the organist isn't sure about playing it you can always set up a CD.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.
i think the best thing to do is check with the vicar organist; it varies from church to church and depends on how confident the organist is x

I think you have to ask your vicar about the songs, each vicar is different, has my vicar says we have the traditional songs.

Ok thank you ladies! Hopefully it will be ok then as our vicar is very laid back and allowing my h2b's priest to come and do a blessing during the ceremony (he is Greek Orthodox) and he was the one who mentioned it so I can't see him having a problem with it :) And I was actually going to see if he would allow my brother to play me in anyway (he can play the organ) and he knows the songs so hopefully it will all be fine :) Thanks for all of your answers :) xxx
