Hi ladies, have spoken to The Modmother and have found that there isn't a thread for a meet up for all of us in the East Midlands, so want to find out if any of you want to meet up soon. It depends on where in the East midlands as I'm in between east and west. I could make it to a Derby meet but that might be too far for others.

I was looking at the map of the East Midlands and Nottingham seems the most central, and probably would have the best facilities as in places with soft play areas for those of us with little ones. I live in Grantham which looks very central but not much going on here, lol. Would just be nice to get some interest, thought all the brides to be were desperate to meet up

I know Halloween bride lives in Notts and she was keen to meet up etc. Its just getting them to come on and see the thread. It took us some time to get the Brum one going and when we did organise it we hadn't realised that the thread had been sunk so no one was seeing it. Three turned up but more would have come if they had actually seen the thread.
I was chatting to Stacey last night and she said she would try to keep the thread bumped so I can have a good go at getting us together. So fingers crossed. It is a shame to miss out as it would be so much fun and great way to make friends as so many of us seem to be isolated at home with their little ones and that. x

Do they have anywhere with play areas for kids Geri? I would probably have to bring my 16 month old with me, but definitely up for as many of us getting together as we can, should be a great laugh! I have only been once with h2b shopping and he got so stressed and lost, lol. That is a shame Becca, but will have to leave a little time so that everyone can plan ahead, want it to be a success! :) xx

Where would you be able to travel to shellay? It is such a huge area to just pick a place off the bat, so we'll see what interest we get back and where is the most convenient for everybody and go from there. :) x

i know the area near to west bridgeford, near to the a46, there is a nice pub there the nottingham knight, if thats what its still called, there is a premier inn there :) x

You don't have to drive into the city centre Shellay. There is free parking just of the M1 on the A610 and a tram takes you straight into town. Its the easiest way of getting there and doesn't take that long.

MY h2b is saying Eastwood is easy to get to, as I don't drive myself so he can drop me off. Is that ok for everyone then? Will have a look and see what places are suitable then, and the more the merrier princessnat, if you can get there, then awesome! You know I think the Ikea would be rather good as it has the big ball pit for anyone with Kids and we can grab some drinks and a hotdog from the cafe while we watch the kids play. we can then drag them around the store looking for bargains and ideas lol. I used to live that way but moved over to Tamworth way but it would be nice to see 'home' again.

Awesome! A plan is coming together, although I can't leave my little one in the ball pit as she isn't old enough, but do want to pop over there afterwards to see if there are any bargains, lol.
