i love this idea and would fit lovely with my bird theme and h2b was a keen bird watcher when he was younger ( hes a geek but i love him anyway lol ) so would be a nice surprise if i do it but i can just hear what our family's would say his mum already thinks i have gone over the top and my sister in law keeps making comments to my sister about how much money I'm costing h2b (even though she doesn't know that its me paying for it all anyway)not to mention h2bs sil2b pops out with you dont need to spend a lot on a wedding to have a great day we are doing it really cheaply (im sure she is just trying to make me feel bad and the fact her first wedding cost over £10000 and that was about 15 years ago so you can double that figure by todays money ) .i haven't told anyone about the singer i have booked. so undecided about it at the minute. i think i will have to see how much it would cost abd take it from there.

krissy905 my family keep saying stuff like this too me, but at the end of the day h2b and i are paying for the wedding so i will blimin well have what i want to have - its my day and im only planning on doing it once, so i want it to be special for me. My auntie said dont you think doves are OTT, and said maybe but i want them so ill have them, plus they will look lovely for the photos and the doves symbolise everything that is important in a marriage. Just take no notice of what people say hun, and why would your sil say that your costing h2b money??? your about to get married, whats his is yours and yours his ;0) so technically your not, and its all for both of your days - whats the problem???
Just for info, the doves have cost me 215, thats with set up for the ceremony so they will be displayed before the ceremony, then after we are married the supplier gives a reading and we release the doves, they also bring a spare one for the guests to have pictures with, and of course the trial run

Antonia its a standing joke in my family that I'm a shopaolic and i do like to shop i guess but i never spend more then i can afford and my bills and things are all payed on time and i have no debts. shes just a funny one really and has these little moments lol. i tend to ignore her anyway and we aren't really all that close. i don't think she likes that she might be out done as they are having there renewal this weekend for there 25th wedding anniversary xx

I'm not a huge fan of using animal's in this way to be honest, same with butterfly's especially as they only live so long! BUT saying that everyone is different (thankfully or it would be boring) so if you want them then go for it! I've seen a few weddings on here that have had dove's and an owl ring bearer all were loved by b&g and guests (dispite some slight hiccups with some) and said they were worth the money so yes if you want it can afford it then why the hec k not hay?? :-)

its just silly isn't it antiona I'm never like that and hate the fact i have to keep secrets from my family and I'm making one of my sisters keep a secret from the rest of the family as it will just cause more jealously and resentment especially from my younger and oldest sisters i already had it when i bought my house she made a snide comment about it i snapped back that i would rather give the money back if it would bring back my children's dad it shut her up for a while lol xx
you earn every penny or your money and should be free to spend it like you wish good for you not letting anyones moaning and meanness put you off your plans xx
