Absolutely not. He just wouldnt do anything haha. He's not got a clue about clothes either, urgh I dread to think.... annoyingly, he'd look proper suave and go all out with getting some amazingly cool boy suit... and that would be it haha Id just be in the first wedding dress he saw. He'd probably pick something obscenly expensive and assume, just becasue it's expensive, it's automatically amazing. When in fact, he'd have me dressed as a bog roll cover. As for the rest of it. I just couldnt imagine him putting it together

    Ooh I perish the thought!

I do enjoy the show though, I spend half my time cringing behind a pillow, its like watching a horror show unfold sometimes

I would've trusted my husband 100% We tend to have the same tastes in most things and he knows what I like with most things - he's also very organised so I know we'd have had a perfect wedding if he'd organised it.

My h2b is dying to go on DTTB and yes i would trust him but i know he would trick me as well (he would find it funny to pick a dress i would hate and get the shop to bring that out and go gottch ya, stuff like that)

He knows what i like and what i picture for our wedding so yeah i would allow him to do it i just dont think i could go 3 weeks with NO contact to him!

I love the show, but surely most grooms have an idea of what their future wives once?

I mean, I've discussed potential venues, bands, clothing, food etc for ages, even before we got engaged. Lol maybe they should follow lads who are about to propose around and spring it on them straight away! Xx

I agree with you LauraJo. If i was to go on the show then my h2b would have a very good idea of what i wanted. I sometimes wonder what kind of relationship these couples have if they don't talk about these things!! Especially knowing that they are going on there - i'd have my h2b well prepped beforehand!! x

No i would not trust h2b at all.I would end up with a simple dress, without a train (whats the point of one of those they only get mucky!) it would be something i could wear again in the future (you want something practical and to get your money out of it) All the extra touches like favours, table decs and the cake (lets get a massive black forest gateux from Asda!) would be deemed as unnecessary expenses. In fact he would probably be the only groom ever to end up with more money left than he had spent. He needs to be coaxed gently into spending and 3 weeks isn't long enough. xxx

My H2B keeps asking if we can go on the show haha I know that he knows me better then I know myself but as it's a show none of our families would talk on the camera etc lol £12,000 for free to do the wedding day, it'll be stag night to Vegas for him lol A lot of the things on the show is dramatised by the producers as they're told to argue to make the show interesting to watch else it's just the bride relaxing like 'i don't care what he does' attitude lol I would sleep in for the 3 weeks he gets to plan it - would be awesome! lol

Absolutely! In fact the only reason we havnt applied is that we both agree the camera crew and interviewing would take away from the intimacy and romance. As its been said before my only worry would be the dress because its practically impossible for him to choose 'the one' when I don't even know what it is yet. As for being boring viewing, we would have half lied if we had applied... when we first got engaged I had my heart set on big stately home or castle, very glamorous! And thats what I'd tell the show I want... while in actual fact my partner has totally changed my mind!! we're now looking at family orientated, fun, bright barn wedding with a big bbq! My partner is very much the inspiration for the wedding plans as it is and I know he'd do a great job!

Aww, my partner and I would be boring viewing though. Hes left most of it up to me, he said as long as we have a good old knees up hes happy with what i choose, except he threw a tantrum over chair covers (he was drunk at the time, the subject came up and he refused to have them - was a funny moment). Apart from that I have pretty much a free reign...

finally caught up on this last night, I thought that bloke did so well haha, I loved the dress he picked. I wand a princess dress. I didn't like her very much, as if I'd let someone take my wages then give me my spends! I thought she was pretty selfish tbh, adamant about not wanting a church, when she knows fine well that one he picked had meaning to him, she just didnt want it because it wouldnt look pretty. In some instances, I think the bloke can do a better job in planning it, and I think this was one of those occasions!

Still wouldn't trust tom to arrange ours though hahah

Ohhh I watched the best bits as well from last year, that couple that came 2nd, where he was in Vegas, and like only 6 people could go. I'd KILL HIM

I think the more you can't trust your h2b to plan the whole wedding the more he should be made to!

DTTB forces the h2b's to think about the wedding in ways they wouldn't have thought about before. Which is good because the h2B should have as much say in his wedding as the bride. Though I think the H2B's who go over board with what they want are just as bad as brides who go overboard with what they want!

If I didn't want a church wedding but my h2b forced it on me I'd be furious. Because all though I get the church was important to him it wasn't fair to push a religious based wedding on her if she wasn't religious.

DTTB certainly teaches us we should compromise!
