I have three venues in mind. 1. Doing it all myself finding dj,food, cutlery and so on in a function room 2. Pub venue supply the food bud vases cutlery and dj 3. Hotel reception bud vases dj nights stay food top table flowers
They all come in at around the same price. I am more going for the hotel or the pub reception because it comes with everything.

We're going for a venue where we get lots done for us - the one we want includes food day and night, drinks, dj, table decs, top table flowers, nights stay, and comes in at 3k.. though when we meet with their wedding planner we're hoping to try and haggle in some extras too, like the cost of the ceremony being free instead of £150... cheeky, but I figure we wont get if we don't ask :P

Well i stil want the wedding in the reg office and and the reception in the venue only because i am paying 425 for the cars and my one takes me and martyn away for 30 -1 hour with the photographer and lets us got to the river and have pictures done and a bottle of bubbly and think about what we have just done

I do and I want it perfect and i dont know what to do. I have emailed second and thired place to come and see if i can get the cost down a bit more and if i can i will defo be going for one of them. I also what the wedding to feel like a wedding and not just a birthday party.

If it were me I would have the hotel because usually the room will be exclusive to you. With a pub you can get the public wandering in and out unless they have a function room? And the hotel sounds like the best deal with the nights stay xxx

Well it had to be done. I didnt know where to start on 2k so iworked him up to 4k. I have just enought for everything so that is good. What he dont know is i am buying the small things like name tags and everything under 100pounds on my bank card and then the stuff over that in the wedding fund. HEHE what he dont know dont hurt him

I would defo go with the hotel! we have a package that includes cars, buffet for evening guests and dj etc and not only does it save you money but saves your sanity as there is less to worry about :D if all else fails go in a huff, thats what I do! he cant stand it if he thinks I wont talk to him hehe xx

I think he is going for it as he had a look at the website today and had a look at the prices and he said when i got in from work so we are paying someone £200 more to do the things we are stressing about. I said yes and he said ok then i will think about it so i think i am getting what i want

If you can get what you want from the hotel and it's in budget like you said then it is probably much easier to do the hotel option. Happy planning.xx

the hotel would be the better option hun as u wont have to worry about doing the food, dj, table decorations.and u also get the night there! so the extra is definately worth it. xx
