we were origionally going to get married on the 31st august which is my birthday and also the date we got engaged so held some significance to us but if we had got married on that date we would have missed our little boys first day at primary school as we would have been on honeymoon soo we decided to go for the 29th september which is exactly 5 and a half years from when we first met :) yes it would have been alot nicer if it was exactly 5 years or 6 years but 5 years was too soon and 6 was too far away to wait lol so yeh....does your day hold any significance? a birthday, anniversaire or something else? x

Mine has no meaning just happy to set the date after 17 years LOL

We just wanted it to be next year, in the summer, and not on Robs birthday, after that it was just a case of seeing when the venue was available and what flights we could get.

Yes, Halloween is awesome and it's an excuse to have a huge party each year. Also, as a practising Wiccan, it falls on my favourite holiday (Samhain celebrations are amazing and loads of fun)

As an added bonus, it's outside of peak wedding season and I love autumn best of all.

Orginally we werent bothered on the date and just wanted to get married so were looking for out of season dates so cheaper but our venue didn't offer discount for out of season so made no difference in price. We then decided on summer holidays as my dad lives abroad so means my half brother and sister can come so not at school so picked august then realised 10th August which is the day we met fell on a Saturday so picked that date... so will be marrying 9 years to the date we met and our first year wedding anniversary will also be 10 years together xxx

WE originally had said we would like to get married on an easy date to remember like 10/10/2010.... When we came to book, we realised we would end up with a winter wedding - 12/12/12 which neither of us wanted to we picked September as a month and just the date they were available!

Ours will be 8 years since we started dating, but we've known each other since we were 12 x

Ours is set 10 year to the day we started going out together.

Ours is just for practical reasons, it couldn't be this year because the Olympics took up a large amount of our and our friends' time, and 2014 was just too far away, we're both self-employed in the same line of work, h2b has a couple of annual big jobs that take up his summer from early July to early September, and our busy season starts at the end of September, the rest of the year is awkward and unpredictable for everyone, so realistically we had 3 dates we could do that would let most people come without missing work, only 2 would mean we wouldn't be missing work on our mini-moon, and one of them was one of my friend'd 30th birthday, I'd have felt like a right cow getting married then!

I'd have liked to get married in April, cherry blossoms mean a lot to us (h2b has a cherry blossom tree on his arm from before we met, I love the symbolism and our early relationship had a lot of walking around the park with the trees blowing!) But given both our birthdays are in March, it felt a bit like everything would happen at once, I like having my things top look forward to spread out over the year!

Same logic as us...November was still another 18 months away whereas may was only 12! And also his brother is getting married in nov, after being engaged for 16 years so didnt want to steal the limelight too much!!! x

Was originally 2nd October as it was the closest saturday to our anniversary but then h2b proposed to me on the 30th June which was exactly a year after our first kiss so we've now chosen 29th June as it's closest to our date there :)

Our date is our 10 year anniversary
We always wanted to get married on a friday and it just so happened, that when he proposed on our 8th anniversary, 2013 was our 10th and the date was a friday
Plus its bank hol weekend aswell which is a bonus as the close family & friends that will take the fri off get 4 days off work!

Its a year tomorrow until my wedding day!!!!! YAY

Our wedding date is 5th June, the date we got together. For ages I've always thought "I'm so used to celebrating our 'getting together' anniversary, it's going to be really weird doing it on a different date all of a sudden" - then when we decided we wanted to get married abroad in the summer it just made sense to go for that date :-) although I've realised it'll be our 13th anniversary so I'm trying not to be superstitious, lol!

Our's will be the 1st anniversary of my Nan's passing. So making a bad memory into a good one x

we picked ours because it doesn't fall within football season! hahaaha! actually we bought our house on 12Oct and just by fluke he proposed the next year on 12Oct and we were going to have 12Oct this year just as it was the first date that popped into our head after the Olympics timings - but due to venue availability we could only get 11Oct. 11-10-12 or if american which we are not - 10-11-12 :) but that is just fluke too!

No meaning. I wanted to get married on my nan and grandad's wedding anniversary but that is 28th July which is too late if I get a job working abroad when I finish uni so, went for 29th June as cheaper being a sun, my dad works abroad so so back that week and incase I do get a job I won't be going that early.

we picked 10-11-12 just for the date itself. love that is just the numbers going up! xx
