Were have roast beef and all the trimmings for our sit down meal, We were just going to cut our cake and have that for our deserts, But we have had 10 people not been able to come so thought we might aswell pay the extra and have a desert! Were not over keen onthe ones the venue has!

Just wondering what to have for desert? Can anyone recomend anything for me (If you dont mine)

    Thanks

What ones does your venue have?

I am having apple and rhubarb crumble tart with vanilla custard. It is so much better than what we originally went for that was chocolate and cappuchino torte with chocolate sauce and the other I can't remember it was that inspiring. LOL.

We were going to have a choice between New York Cheescake and Double Chocolate Gateau ... but when we went for the tasting the cheescake was so good we decided to just have that and also the chocolate cake was a bit heavy.

We've gone for chocolate mudcake and cream, although I'm half tempted to change it to the dessert platter, which had several different things on it to choose from. I think it's just because they gave me a free taster I was hooked lol! And considering the cake is going to be huge (mil2b is in charge of that), going for cake as the dessert might be overkill!!

We had blackcurrant cheesecake, creme caramel brulee, kalo prama (cypriot dessert) and fruit salad. I can tell you honestly only 1 person touched the fruit salad and kalo prama! 3/4 of guests went for blackcurrant cheesecake.

I'd love to have a mini selection. I did put that to my venue when I suggested 3 that were easy to divide up like cheesecake, brownie and profitterols with a scoop of ice cream. They were too keen on the idea. H2b wants them to do us a bread and butter pudding. I'd prefer to have the chocolate creme brulee with cookies. At the moment I'm winning lol ;) x

We haven't chosen any of our menu yet as we don't need to pick until the new year so that decision is on hold, however we do have the menu to choose from and have a couple of things we're torn between.

TBH I'm allergic to dairy so desserts have never really been the big thing for me because 9/10 times I can't eat anything off a dessert menu. My sister and H2B however will probably make the decision for me and I'll just ask the venue if they can do it diary free for me.

Our wedding cake will be entirely dairy free :)
