I have a gold ring that was left to me by my aunt. Not being nasty but it is very large and ugly. It is 18ct gold with no stones. H2b had an idea of getting it melted down to make wedding rings but where would you go to have this done as I love the idea and then imwould always wear it.

an independent jeweller could do that for you. the guy that made my engagement ring just need to know what exactly I wanted and I was lucky he charged mates rates. he also combined my nan's and mum's wedding rings into one ring which is just a plain band which I wear on my right hand

We are looking into jewellery workshops, where not only will they do this for you, but they then guide you to make your own wedding rings together with said gold. Depending on how personal you'd like it to be :) xx

We are having all of our spare gold melted down and made into wedding bands. The guy is doing this as we speak. Can't wait to see them. The Guy is in Denia Spain though so bit far. It also saved us quite a bit of money and is doing the design that we want. We saw similar design in a high street jewellers that we liked but when we held them there was no weight to them at all.
