    Hi All,

This might be a silly brain freeze moment but who will I need to discuss corkage with? Is it the venue or the caterers we choose?
I'm arranging meetings with two caterers recommended by our venue but I don't know if I can discuss prices etc with them or to email our venue/wedding planner instead?

    Thanks xx

I'd say your venue as I imagine it will be the venue supplying the bar/drinks? x

Yes it is :) but I got confused about the corkage as a lot of the menues from both caterers include a drinks package for the meals? Hmmmmm might just as both venue and carterers at the meetings! Thanks hun xxx

I'd say if you take the drinks package from the caterer and also supply your own drinks then they would charge their own corkage fee, but if just using your venue's bar facilities then the corkage fee would be payable to them.. I think.. No harm in asking them both though, I'm sure it's not a question that hasn't been asked before and better to know for sure than guess :) xx

I'm such a fussy wine drinker.....I'd prefer to use my own wholesaler that Dad used when we had the pub :) I HATE cheap wine lol xxx

Why don't you try the wine the venue has before opting for more expensive wine with the added expense of corkage
