    Hiya

We have found our wedding venue and its lovely. The only thing is i cant set my heart on a colour theme. The ballroom is massive and its got gold colour walls and RED carpet, i dont know why but i really cant imagine any colour going with it... we like grey and pink but think it will clash! any ideas welcome, i just want it to be perfect

I would concentrate more on the wall colours as you won't even notice the carpet that much once the tables are set and people are in. Gold and cream or gold and brown?

That's a good idea, then you can see how much of the carpet is actually on view. If you love the venue I wouldn't let the colours put you off. x

I think our venue had a reddy-brown carpet... not that we noticed on the day!

am lucky our doesnt have carpets it has a sprung dancefloor instead.

we did visit a venue that had forest green carpets (with black stains) and an orangey wall colour... we didnt choose that venue as we had to wipe our feet on the way out as the floor was that sticky... and they wanted 4k for he day!!!!

That sounds like a nightclub we used to go to in Sheffield as students... everyone had special shoes so their nice ones didn't get ruined!

One of our rooms was red, gold and mahogany but a lass had a pink, white and silver xmas thing - the chairs were hunter green and gold ad she never got chair covers and no one noticed it looked wicked :D
