Hi, following on from Nickers hair debarcle (bless her!) which has put me off from the semi permanent extensions for life, I was wondering if anyone can recommend some good quality clip in extensions please? Thanks!

Mine are from Babyliss- its a wider layered weft which is perfect for either fine or limp hair. It's not real hair but its stylable up to 180 degrees.
I found it in Boots, but not all of the stock it- it might be worth going on their website to find what shop stocks what.

Be wary about buying them online because the pictures don't give an accurate indication of colour. On my first attempt, I bought what I thought was dark brown... turned out to be dark blonde! Given my dark complexion, I would have looked like a drag queen if I had attempted to dye it that colour! (Also, with how fine my hair is, it would probably fall out completely if I attempted to bleach it)

I bought mine from ebay and got a really good colour. I bought them a while ago though so may not be able to find the seller but I will have a look for you. They are fantastic and they look like real hair.

used to have clip hair extensions not real hair though and not the best quality which I bought I think... was more like for going out and for maybe up to 3times use so I think you should really have a good look into it and I guess if you can style them even like Nisha said thats better mine would melt if I'd use a straightener xx

I have an amazing set from Imogen - Foxylocks! They are real hair and there is so much of it. She even has a utube channel to show how to put them in.

I'm thinking about using clip in hair extensions. Can anyone recommend a good seller to buy these off the bay from, as there are so many to choose from. Thank you.

There is something new on the market called "Flip in" hair. It doesn't clip in, but is a weave of real hair with a sort of invisible fishing wire that you just place on your head, then pull your own hair over the top. It just takes a minute to put in. I'm not sure how suitable it would be if you wanted your hair up though. I have one, and there is a technique for turning the edge so you can put your hair up, but I have not tried it yet so could not say how well it works.

I just had a look at those flip in ones, they look great....Then i saw the price!
I'm the same roxy my hair is auburn and I'm keeping it this colour but what if the shade wasn't right! Alot of them don't recommend dying the extensions even if they're real hair
A friend of mine at work gets her's from a place in hanley and she said they will colour match so I might have to have a look there. I only really want them for a bit more volume don't need too much length as my hair's getting quite long it's just very fine

I must be crazy giving myself only 6 months!

Yes, they are expensive. I got mine from my hairdresser, and since I have my hair coloured anyway they made sure it was the right colour. They don't recommend dying them, but there is no reason you cannot dye one if it is made from real hair. However, if you frequently change the colour, it will shorten the life of it as you will lose some hairs each time.

I don't know if this exists, but since they are so expensive, I wonder if there are any hairdressers out there who have any they can rent out for weddings and other special occasions. It might be worth a look.

I got mine for volume, not length as well, as I don't have terribly thick hair. You can get away with a slight mismatch if there is none hanging out underneath. Also, the ones I've seen are not one flat colour, but have a few tones mixed through, which makes them easier to colour match and blend in.

there are literally hundreds of shops in london/birmingham/leicester that sell them, some real nice quality human or synthetic hair. if you buy bad quality you will end up with a massive tangle ball in under 2 hours a tip is to unbutton the packet at the bottom and shake and rub the hair with your hands to see how easily it tangles, i used to work in my uncles hair extension shop :) xx

I've just ordered some Jessica Simpson ones as recommended by my hairdresser as I want my hair a bit longer... It's my graduation in a couple weeks so thought I'd order them up now and if I like them will get her to use them for the big day... Have used clip in ones before and they are awesome, these new ones are one complete piece so will hopefully be easier to use xx

I've just ordered a Jessica Simpson clip in piece off a shopping channel so I can send it back if the colour doesn't match.
