i need to chose 2 hymns to sing at our church but cant think of any i like has anyone got any ideas

The church of England wedding website has a long list. I'll put a link on my wall for you. I chose Amazing Grace, Be Still for the Presence of the Lord and Morning Has Broken. There are also ideas there for your readings etc. Good Luck! x

theyu sound lovely will have to try and listen to them, i really want something that means something to me and lee, nothing to much on god and the lord as we arent majorly religious and will feel hypicritical

Watch out with all things bright and beautiful, it's got the purple headed mountain line in it and some less dignified people tend to burst into laughter!!! just a warning x

We're having Give me oil in my lamp keep me burning - not a traditional wedding hymn but when I was little I used to sing it with my aunty and uncle, and unfortunately they've both passed away so I thought it'd be nice to sing it at our wedding - as long as I don't burst into tears! lol

We had very modern hymns and had: We Wanna see see Jesus lifted high, Sine Jesus Shine and There;s a place where the streets shine. We chose uplifting happy hymns because I hate it when we go to weddings and people just sing slow and dull and quiet! I was telling people before to make sure that they clapped along!!

We're going to have 3 hymns and think we're now sorted on Faithful One, The Power Of Your Love and Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer - hopefully all will sound fabulous with the organ!

Little tip for you... i would tend to pick hymns that people know too so you get more people singing rather that humming along and lively songs keep people awake and happy !! xx

All my family and friends will know the more contemporary ones as we sing them in our usual church, and we've also asked for the adult choir to come along too to help lead the melody just in case
