I'm looking for cheap but beautiful bridesmaid dresses, i need 6!! I don't want to spend a fortune, i will even hire if i can find somewhere to hire from!
Does anyone know if there is anywhere i can hire in beds/herts/bucks areas or is there anywhere i can get some decent dresses for for cheap. I've looked in some of the sales online but they are so ugly. I want classy dresses and the ones i like are all in bridal shops and cost a bomb :/

I got mine in h&m in the summer sale for £17 a dress. Initially bought 3, but needed four. Ended up with 6 because they were so cheap, I'll put a picture up in my albums. It is worth going through all the crap sale items first x

I may wait for next years sales then to see if i can grab some bargains, i wanted to get stuff sorted now but it may be worth the wait. Just looked on ebay, they have some lovely dresses but 4 of my girls are tall and the other 2 short so i worry about lengths, dont wanna pay extra to take stuff up!

I defo would, it is luck of the draw sometimes. And if you're meant to have a particular dress it will find its way to you. For example, after I bought the first three, I rang every store in the country to try and find at least one more, checked online quickly on the off chance and there were three back in stock, so I nabbed them. Although none of them are the right sizes, they'll al be taken in nearer the time. They leave plenty of room for baby bumps haha!
All of my bm's are tall, but they all need taking up too!! Luckily my grandma can do that. I was fussy too, until I found what I liked.
Oh I also didn't consult my bm's before buying them, I just did it, and then made them all try them on and they loved them x

My sister is being so difficult about bridesmaid dresses, she said all the dress types she wont wear and it's pi**ing me off!! I did tell her if she doesnt like it then she doesn't have to be one but i have another 3 sisters and 2 best friends and i think it'd look a fraction bad if i had all of them and not the other. I might just get them and if she doesnt like it i make offer her the option to tweak it to her liking then at least that way they are all nearly the same!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr, so much stress lol!

The thing I found is that they weren't even willing to try them on if they didn't like them, after I bought mine, I sent them a pic and they were all like, the shape isn't very flattering lalala. When they tried them on, they changed their minds x

Can you not have your sister as moh if you dont have one already that way he dress can be different to the others and wont be out of place, I have told my moh she can have pretty mu h what she wants so long as its my colours.

No way would i have her as moh, she would be my last choice..i'm not having a moh, i don't have a favourite sister and i don't have a favourite bf so im just letting my oldest sister do the organising of hen stuff etc.
i don't mind tweaking all the dresses to make them individual to each bm that way theyll all have the same style dress, it's the fact she wants straps and i want everyone in strapless but i might see if i can give 3 straps and 3 not..might make it blend a bit more.
She would whinge if i kicked off and it was her wedding, which i wouldnt do anyway, so i cant see why she just doesnt suck it up for 1 day!
ill just put them all in black bin bags, cheap and theyll deffo get noticed!!

Lol I told all mine before any of us started looking that if they cant decide between themselves ill choose it and suprise them and will prob be a great big fluffy bright pink toiletroll holder type thing lol suprisingly they havent argued yet lol three with straps and 3 not sounds good tho and dont understand how any one can kick off when your allowing them to tweak them xx

I really don't wanna fork out loads...i might go to the bay of e and see what there is there but it worries me that if they aren't right then id have to get alterations done anyway and it might cost me just as much to get those done as it would to buy a proper decent dress... I think i will get them to get their own shoes and pick the dress myself, i still have a while to go yet to get them but i like to be prepared and sometimes there's some hidden gems out there in the shops and i dont want to risk seeing something and then it not being available...gaaaahhhhh!! so maybe things to think about, do i wait and just forget about them until early next year or do i carry on looking and potentially find them a dress...

If you don't mind travelling to London for the day there is a warehouse shop there that make dresses in the colours that you want and your bridesmaids can try on the different styles of dresses that they have and they are made to measure so no worrying about alterations. They also have a Facebook page and website so you can always have a look on there first. They aren't cheap cheap but last time I looked most were under £100. I will pop the website link on your wall xxx
