    Hi Everyone.....

Well...Been looking, and thinkin, and asking, and racking my brains if there is any way around not having to pay silly money to put chaircovers on my chairs at the reception...but im stuck!!!!!

Does anyone have any money saving ideas?or know of any where where you can hire chair covers for cheap???
The venue i'm having my reception is wanting to charge 2.50 per chair cover(now i know some of u make think thats relativly cheap)and were gonna be having around 150 chairs.I cant bear spending money on stoopid bits of material to stick on a chair!!!especially when were on a budget

    aaggghhhhh!!!

haha..so any ideas,or contacts would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks,
    Kate x

We're going to be charged £2.50 per chair but the chairs at our venue are disgusting.

If the chairs are nice it shouldn't make a difference as people don't look at the chairs

Chair covers are one of those things people notice if they are there, but don't notice if they are not. So unless your chairs are really ugly don't worry.

But if you do want to spruce them up... bows?

dont know the cost but maybe you can look at hireing chairs when we were looking at a venu with no furnishing i think i was quted something like 2quid for each chair and they had a choice of colour seats with gold, white, black or slver coverings......... but then it depends on the vnue and if they would allow you to bring in furniture.

why are weddngs so expensive and stressful????

Our chairs at our venue aren't so bad so we aren't having them. I appreciate they can look good, but when you have a small budget some things become a priority and chair covers was not one with our wedding. Plus we went to a friends recently and they were really quite annoying because during the course of the meal they slipped so they weren't straight anymore.

If the chairs were ok-ish but you can't afford them why not go for bows on the top or back as a bit of decoration.

I asked my venue to get them and they have included them in the price of our wedding, often venues will get a better deal than we would ringing up our selves

Wish our venue would include them in the price - if we go with the venue we're looking at they will charge £3.50 per cover, which is ridiculous because I know which company provides their covers and they only charge £3 per cover! The package at our venue is a good deal, but they seem to want to rip us off with everything else :S

Just had a quote for £460 for 80 chair covers and sashes. Full set up included. This seems really expensive to me so I thought I'd bump this thread up to see if anyone has had any bargains since it was opened in december. I'm in the Scottish Borders so would need a UK wide company or someone local.

I have included a pic of the venue set up for a wedding to see what you think.

The company I'm using are charging me £280 for 100 chair covers and sashes, 12 table runners with delivery set up and collection. It's still a lot of money but considering my venue have strange shaped chairs and only a few companies have the covers to fit them I think it's a pretty fair price.
I know a lot of people who have brought covers from eBay, I don't know what the quality of them are like though.
I'd keep hunting the net and try gumtree, you might find a company just setting up that are willing to do it for a bargain and keep your eyes out on here for anyone who has brought there own covers, they might be willing to sale them on to you?!

my venue does them for £6 each but have been quoted between £2-2.50 from other companies but in the end ive decided im not having them as i dont see its worth it as im having a late wedding and buffet in night. if i was getting married earlier and having a wedding breakfast then i would xx
