I really don't want to pay loads for my veil so I've ordered one from an online shop but it's quite plain. The ones I fall in love with in the bridal shop always have sparkly drop crystals on them. The one I've ordered just has 6mm satin ribbon around the edge. Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to add drop crystals to it and if so would it be easy or not? I'm not an amazing seamstress! Does anyone know where I could buy just the crystals to sew on? xx

How about those crystals you can get to put on your nails? A bit of decent fabric glue ... be careful though when applying as you don't want to glue your veil to the table! You could always add the bling to your ribbon if you wanted to but be very careful if using glue though as too much will show on silk ribbon.

I think they have holes in them at the top you would just sew them on with a very fine needle. xx

Im going to out another link on your wall for some that are sewn onto organza ribbon you would be able to stitch the ribbon onto your existing ribbon

You can get some that you just glue on but you need to make sure that you don't use too much. The best thing to do is get the gem in the middle of tweezers (don't press hard or it will ping out) and then dab on a little fabric glue or high tack glue with a cotton bud or something similar to prevent you getting too much on it. The smallest of dobs will stick it.

I like the idea of sewing drp crystals onto the ribbon at the bottom. I think the ones on the fabric are a good idea but there are too many too close together for my liking.x

You can get hot fix crystals which you iron on.. you would just have to put a tea towel between the veil and the iron so as not to melt the veil... either that or use a glue gun and glue them on! xxx

Crystals for veil
So I've just bought these from the bay. Not bad only cost a fiver for 12 crystals which I'm assuming will be enough to attach around the bottom. Wondering about fixing thehotfix ones to the veil itself now. I'm scared I'll melt it!

I had a go at sewing the crystals on today as my H2B is stuck in Brazil and I was bored! I ordered 12 teardrop crystals and I've spaced them around the bottom tier of my waist length veil 6 inches apart. They were quite easy to sew on and look really good (I think!) I'm def gonna order some more though as I want them all the way around the bottom of the top tier too. Take a look.x
