Mental block - Bride stands on left groom on right for ceremony?
and is it the same for seating at top table? Bride to the grooms left?

Do what you want hun, I'm going to be stood / seated so that hubby is on my right no matter what anyone says - I'm a bit deaf in my left ear & don't want to miss anything he says on our big day

So true Amy - wedding day means we can do anything any how we like :-) .. but I lost my nan and she was a real stickler for traditions and in her memory I'm trying to do a lot of the things traditional. I know if she was here she would be right there planning it all with me and she would be putting me straight on how it 'should' be.
Funny actually, if she was here I'd probably be fighting her every step of the way and having things my way - but not having her around left me wanting it all how she would see right x

My friend's Mum lost her hearing just before the wedding and was devastated that she wouldn't hear her daughter say her vows. The vicar was the one to suggest that the bride stand on the right so that her Mum could at least lip read the vows. So you really can do it how you want :)

id sooner stand on the right, though it would appear the woman seems to stand on the left... not sure why or whether there is a reason for it, id just rather my right arm wasn't on show as im having a tattoo lasered off and if its not completely gone by next sept, id rather expose as little of that arm as possible!
